refund from disney

I have (reluctantly) cancelled my reservation...has anyone had to do this & how long did it take to get the refund posted to your account on a debit card. I am looking at closing the account and I would like to know what time frame I am on...don't feel sorry for me too long, we are still going, but we are going with other family members and possibly getting a cabin at fw...which is a major upgrade from the pop (which is not bad)

I cancelled my trip last year (but we ended up going a few weeks after we cancelled) I used my debit card and I think I had my refund within 2 weeks even though they said it would take longer.

We cancelled our December trip a few weeks ago (DVC members now) and the refund was in my account in about a week...faster than I expected.

When we canceled ours last year to make new reservations (whole nother story) It actually took 2 months for them to refund our $200tor our disney visa! I think we called them weekly after the first month. I was getting worried. But we got the money back and thats what matters.

When i used my debit card last year, they said allow 60 days, but i had it back in about a week.

We switched from room only to package reservations on Friday. Since they could not move the deposit from one reservation to the other, I had to cancel the first one and get a refund. They told me it would be four or five days for the refund. I just checked my account and the refund hit yesterday. Pretty fast!

My debit card (from a change not a cancellation) was credited in several days. I was surprised because I was warned that it could take longer.

In general it can take 1-3 billing cycles.. dependong on where you are in your cycle for the refund to show. This is the time line that credit cards will give you as well. (used to work for Capital One)

I just had to cancell my reservation at Pop last Thursday and the credit was back in my account this Monday!! Maybe because it was a visa debit card, that's why it was so quick!
