Refrigerator in Room for Medical Need

Hi All, I sent in my medical form for my neice who needs a fridge in the room to refrigerate growth hormone, and I have looked all over for a number at Disney to call to make sure they got my fax and also that we have a fridge setup for the room.

Anyone have any suggestions on a number I can call or email address?

They called me prior to the cruise. Had no problem getting a frig for my insulin and sodas. I bring my own sodas for medical reasons. Can't have either Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi. Only Diet Rite brand allowed.

We were in room 2109 and had a frig in the room. We did not request it or need it but it was there. I thought they were in all the rooms.

Those in regular rooms are just cooler type thingies. They will keep drinks cool, but they're not actually refrigerators. They don't get sufficiently cool for medications that need refrigeration.

We made a fax request for a refrigerator as instructed by the DCL rep. When we arrived at the room there was nothing there. I called Guest Services and they said they would look into it.

The bottom line: Your room steward is your "new best friend". If you are having trouble getting something for your room talk to him/her first.

I know DCL will tell you that you can only get a refrigerator for medical reasons, which of course yours are, but when I asked our room steward Eric about the refrigerator he asked if I requested one. I said, "Yes".

Eric didn't know if I had requested a refrigerator for medical reasons or not, nor did he care, he wanted to make us happy so he had one in the room later that first day.

Keep repeating this line - "My room steward is my best friend".

Good idea! I had not thought to just ask for one. I will definitely do that! If they can't no big deal, but if they can even better right?
