Refridgerators at WL yet?

I stayed at AKL in December and my room had a refridgerator. Have they installed them at WL yet? I will be going in April and am hoping they will be in.

From what I've learned on the WL FAQ thread, they are not in all of the rooms, but you can request them. Hope this helps!

Does anyone know if fridges at WL have to be requested prior to arriving. We will be there in late March so I know it will be busy. From previous posts, it sounds as if you will receive one only if they are available. I was hoping this would be a standard feature. It's been a long time since we have stayed at a hotel without a fridge (from Marriotts to Hampton Inns).

This past December I spoke with a CM at Wilderness Lodge about the refridgerators. I was told they have all been ordered but there was a delay...they are hoping for them to all be installed soon...but had no specific date at that time...What works best would be to wait until your in your room then call and request one be delivered if one isn't there...this way you are still able to receive an upgrade if available. Noone has posted being charged for the refridgerators. I haven't read that they didn't receive one when requested at the Lodge.

No, but I'll be there in a few weeks (!!!) and will check it out in our room and at the front desk.

I just returned from WL. No fridge in our room, but one was delivered when I requested one. I did not note the fridge on our ressie. Hope this helps!!

We stayed at WL in December - we requested one as soon as we got to our room and housekeeping brought one up within 10-15 minutes - no problem. Of course, we had to wait for it to cool down. It will be nice when they are installed permantly.

We were there in January and had one on our request. But there was no frig in our room. The CM said it would not be in our room because they want to make sure where you room is first. Since all guest do not request frigs, they do not put them in place until you have officially been assigned a room. They put it under the vaniety (did the same for the BWI in December too). Of course it took an outlet away and I kept running into it in the morning. Oh well, it was free.

Did I miss something? Do the resorts let you request a Fridge at N/C now? PRFQ had one in the room and we got one at Poly N/C which surprised me. But reading this it sounds like you can get them or they are putting them in the rooms at the Mods or Deluxes. Just curious b/c we are considering the CR for the next visit.

We had the same problem last month, only when we checked in they told us they were out of the fridges. We insisted and they eventually found us one at the contemporary, but it was 10pm before we got it.

We were at Wilderness Lodge earlier this month. We requested a fridge for our room & got one after checking in.

All moderates and deluxes are supposed to *eventually* have installed/complimentary refrigerators in all rooms. Now refrigerators in moderates/deluxes are complimentary/no charge, but not all resorts have them permanently installed yet.
Still have to pay rent for fridges if staying in a value.
