Refresh my memory

Ok.........trying to pack for my trip next week, and Im a little confused. Does my shampoo, sunscreen etc have to be 3 oz or less just if it is on my carryon or no matter what? I usually check that stuff, but I want to make sure I do the right thing so there isnt a hang up at the airport.

Only carry on liquids have to be less than the 3 oz. You can pack your large shampoo bottle if you are checking your bag.

It only matters if you are carrying it on board, and then yes it must be 3oz. or less and inside a ziploc bag.
