refresh button

why do i have to keep pressing the refresh button, so that i can keep the screen up to date with new threads and posts??
im not a techy person so has anyone got a simple answer to this!!

If you want to stay in the same forum, yes. Or you can go down below on the page to click the forum. If you want updated, most popular posts, click on New Posts and the near top of your screen and that will direct you to the popular threads.

what i mean is that i can come onto the uk community forum and all the posts are still the same as yesterday, so i have to click on the refresh button to update it all.so that i can then see all the new posts and replies on the uk community..

Sorry I can't help you Jeanette - mine puts new posts in bold every time I log on. Is this something new with yours? Is it something to do with the options you chose in "user CP"? Sorry - I'm extremely untechy but there are some very knowledgeable people on the board - I'm sure someone will be able to help you

just checked my user cp and it looks fine-i think!!
its been happening for about 3 weeks now, and i dont know why!

Hi Jeanette,

You could try deleting your cookies and your temporary internet files through Tools->Internet Options??

It sometimes fixes odd problems with Internet Explorer

Check the following in Internet Explorer:

Goto Tools, Internet Options. On the General Tab click Settings on Temporary Internet Files. Make sure that Every visit to the page is clicked. This means that you SHOULD get the latest version of the webpage whenever you go onto it. (Hope that makes sense!!).

i've deleted cookies and temporary internet files, still no luck,
i am still having to refresh.
ive done a disk clean up and went to do a de-frag but it didnt need it.
