Refinancing?

Has anyone refinanced lately with a good deal? Particularly those who had private mortgage insurance? We keep trying to work with our current lender Wells Fargo and their fees are so high! We got a decent quote from Amerisave. Has anyone used them before? Thanks for any help!

We refinanced 11 months ago with our local Credit Union. Got a rate of 4.875%, 30 year, fixed, conventional mortgage with no points. We do have PMI, it's roughly $30 a month. Try your local CU and see what they have to offer. Good luck

We are in the process of a refi right now with Bank of America. 10 yr fixed at 4.75%apr with no points. The process has been taking a really long time so I hope we don't run into any snags before it is all over. Good luck to you.

We refinanced about 8 months ago with Third Federal... got 4.870% fixed for a 30-yr loan, no points or pmi. Did have to pay about $2500 in fees, but just had them roll those into the loan.

Thanks for your replies! Wow, I would love to get any of those deals. PMI for only $30 a month? I guess it depends on the amount of your loan, too? I'll start calling around.

I dont know about PMI (anymore), but check out BANKRATE.COM and AMERISAVE.com. BankRate gives you a listing of rates in your area. Amerisave, I just found to be fairly competative.
