During a recent move we found our Main Street USA Mickey Ear balloon, which had been carefully deflated so we could take it home. It was never tied, just plugged. In the before times I read that you could have balloons reinflated, is that still true? I understand that the attempt to reinflate an old balloon might end in destruction, but I'm still willing to try if it's possible.

I buy helium tanks at Walmart and refill mylar balloons all the time. Just fill it slowly and stop when there's still a slight amount of "give." I've never reused latex balloons because I always tie them, but if it's untied there should be no problem. If it's too old, the latex may have deteriorated somewhat but I doubt it. I order my balloons on balloons.com and have a "balloon box" for birthday parties and such. Some of mine are pretty old by now (10 years maybe?) and I've never had a problem. If you buy mylar balloons the inflation instructions will tell you not to use the little helium tanks available for purchase by the general public; you're supposed to tae it to a place that has that little "pin" insert thing, but if you're careful you can definitely do it yourself with your own tank. I love balloons for parties and have saved tons of money over the years buying and inflating my own.

You're asking if Disney will re-inflate your previously purchased balloon? I would think no, but have nothing besides intuition guiding that.

Yes, that's what I mean. In the past you could bring a deflated/drooping balloon bank to Main Street to be topped off or refilled.

Deflated or drooping balloon that was recently purchased is not the same as bringing one back from a previous trip. If having a balloon is that important, just buy a new one. Personally, I wish they’d get rid of them altogether.

Can you imagine if everyone saved their balloons, brought them back and expected them to be re-filled? crazy. Just ban balloons!

Oh I thought OP just wanted to re-inflate their balloon at home. Bring back a little of that Disney magic!

You can buy an entire tank of helium for the price of one Disney balloon.
