refillable mugs

I feel very unfeeling sending in this message - like it is business as usual and I know that it simply cannot be like that for many Floridians.
All the best to everyone in Florida who has been impacted by these terrible storms. I hope that it is not just to make myself feel better but I think that by visiting WDW and not cancelling I am helping the State recover faster. Tourism is so important to Florida and besides donations to the Red Cross, my tourism dollar is (I hope) helping as well.
So now my question - unimportant though it may seem.

We are going to WDW on the 16th and are splitting our stay between two resorts. We have mugs from POR from a previous trip but want to get refillables when we move the AKL (our second stop). Do we have to buy refillable mugs at POR or can we bring old ones with us? I really don't want to have to buy two sets of refillable mugs but will if it is necessary.

If I am returning to a resort which I have already purchased a mug for, then I take my old one with me. For instance, I brought my Wilderness Lodge mug that I had purchased on a previous trip with me on my last trip there. I have asked many, many, many times and have been told the same thing at various resorts. As long as the mug is from that resort (or a sister one, if that is the case), then they do not have a problem with me using it.

I called today and talked to a CM at Riverside. I have stayed there when it was Dixie Landings and I was up front and told her that I had purchased the mugs in 97 when it was still called Dixie Landings. She told me to bring them they are still good at the resort where they were purchased even though the name had changed. So I will bring them if that is the resort we choose with no guilt.

we just returned over the week end from ASMusic. i have brought my mugs with us the last 3 summers. my dh threw them out one year...lol. we also asked this time and they said it was ok. go and have fun..............

just take them back with you. The only people who will give you grief are the DIS mug police.

I plan on taking my POR mug back to use at POFQ this september. Heck the designs are still the same. How are they going to know it's from a previous trip?
