Refillable Mugs

Recently returned from VB, and while there got the refillable mugs for the kids. Liked the self serve service at the pool. After our stay at VB we had a few nights planned for BW, and found that the BW refillable mugs, while refillable, are no longer filled directly. At the pool they will give you a disposable cup of ice and soda, as the bartender informed me that they are not allowed to handle the mugs. Seems pretty wasteful with all the cups being thrown away, as besides the cost savings in having a mug there was the large number of cups not being added to the waste stream. Perhaps it is time for a self serve soda dispenser at the pool?

Wasteful, yes, but, health wise a very smart move. A self serve dispenser would be a great idea if everyone had a refillable mug, but, they don't. I would imagine there is not one because of the dreaded "mug abuse" and the mess it would create.

I noticed while we were ther at MH for 89 cents you can refill any resort mug at any resort.
