Can anyone please tell me what the cost for refillable mugs on the Magic is? Thank you.

The cost for unlimited soda on the 7 day is $35. They put a sitcker on your KTTW. If you also want the mug (which you do not have to have) it is an extra $5. We bought the mugs for our kids, but I think I used them more in the cabin for ice water. It is kind of a pain to drag the mugs around.

Due to the Norwalk virus outbreak last year DCL decided to go with the sticker program (more sanitary) than just the mugs. As LNaylor stated you can buy the mug in addition to the sticker for your card, but it is now $5.00 more.

Other DIS'ers have stated that you now need to show your sticker and mug (if you purchased one), not just the mug in order to get refills.

It's funny becasue DCL when it first started a soda program used stickers...then went to mugs and now back to stickers!!!!

On our cruise in March all you needed to show was your KTTW card with the sticker on it. My teenager never carried around her mug, all she had to do was show her card. As mmouse said, due to the Norwalk virus, they are not filling up the mugs. The will give you soda in a plastic cup and you then can pour it into your mug.

does anyone know if you get the sticker with the AAA mugs or do you have to carry the mug?

I would think that since this is a health issue that DCL would give stickers for the people on the AAA mug plan as well. I doubt the stickers would be in your documents but you probably just have to ask at check-in.

I thought I read recently that the people with AAA mugs HAD to carry them with. They were just given a cup of soda to then pour into their mugs?

When we cruised in January on the Wonder, they were still using the mug program and directly filled up your mugs. this was right after the Norwalk virus, so I was quite surprised. The only difference that I saw was they wouldn't give you a cold mub any longer if you were getting a beer with the beer mug program, but they simply filled up your mug.

Just off the Western yesterday, and bought one mug. Was never asked for KTTW card when filling mug, never asked for mug when presenting KTTW card. They are still a little leary of viruses, you empty your own mug or cup into "barrel" and they fill a paper cup and pour into your mug ,or hand you the paper cup. However, ice chest provided on "at sea" days is a free for all, with little kids putting their hands into it, not using scoop, etc. Go figure. If I had two kids, I'd buy one mug and ration their soda intake. Lemonade, water and Iced tea is available all the time on deck 9, so how much soda can they consume when your off the ship half the time in port. (probably more then we want to know)

We were on the 4-night Wonder 3/16/03

AAA mugs - Cannot get the stickers - We asked - they said no!

CMs were asking cruisers with DCL mugs to show their stickers.

CMs were filling and refilling mugs directly - AAA and DCL mugs - Norwalk did not seem to be much of a concern (to Disney) on the 4 nighter. I guess that by the time you showed symptoms of Norwalk - you would be off the ship!

As usual it seems the showing of mug/sticker is being enforced by some CM's and not all CM's.
