I am wondering if you can refill the mugs at the parks or is it just in the resort?

They usually run about $12.99 or so. They are good for the resort you bought them at, for that particular trip. But, I have heard of a lot of folks that take theirs along to the parks. Then, when they have had lunch or dinner, they pour any unfinished soda into the mug and sip on it as they walk around. That's a nice idea since I never finish my soda at each meal!!

I can only give you my humble opinion. My family and I had only 1 experience with the mugs at the CBR in 2002. I will buy them again when we go to the WL in May. I put my morning tea in the mug along with soda during the day. I guess the best way to put it....consider how long you are staying and how often you will use the cup and also consider how close the beverage area is located to your room. At CBR I was lucky, my husband and #1 DS liked the walk to the foodcourt. I figure if I can average a dollar a use I'm a head of the game and it more then pays for the mug. We use the mugs, now for camping. At the CBR they have a number of different colors so we each have our assigned color lol. I have already packed a permanant marker to lable the ones from WL they only have one color.

Have a magical day,
Anna

How much do the mugs cost? I will only be there for 5 days, and was wondering if they are worth it?

You will get a lot of arguments for and against them being "worth it". All depends on how long you stay, how much you drink, and how close you are to the food court, or where ever they can be filled (some resorts let you fill them at the pool bar). Me personally, I look at them as a nice souvenir of the resort. A souvenir that actually has some use both while on my trip and when I get home. That way I don't get stressed that I didn't drink my $13 worth of diet coke.

BoyLovesBuzz makes some good points. If you are strictly looking at the dollar value, its probably cheaper and often times more convenient to have a cooler in the room loaded with drinks purchased from a discount store or a grocery store. :thumbsup2

mysticcruiser,
It depends on what resort you're staying at. We stayed at POFQ, bought the mugs, and they were great value and the boys had great fun refilling them, which we did often (we were so near the food court). When we moved to WL we bought them one each there too but rarely used them because Roaring Forks was quite a walk from our room and it wasn't worth the walk just to refill the drinks. This year we'll be at BWV and I hear you need to ask a CM to fill it - with BW being big and a possibility that we'll be very far from the refill location I don't think we'll buy any this time. Also I'd feel awkward asking a CM to fill 5 mugs each time, just me, but it doesn't sound as easy as it was in POFQ, I'm guessing.
They make great souvenirs though and I'd recommend buying at least one just as a souvenir if nothing else.
