Refillable mugs question...

I was thinking of getting a mug for the refills.. my question is, I am staying at Fort Wilderness.. can I only get them refilled there or can I use them anywhere?
Also, can I get a soda in them or are they only for Coffee?

I am NOT looking for a debate, I know that you can't use them on return trips, just asking where you can use them.. sorry I totally don't want to start something, just honestly asking...

You can only use them at your own resort. The beverages vary a little bit by resort, but you can definitely use them for soda, tea, and coffee. I know Pop Century also includes the frozen drink machine, and I think they recently added apple juice. You can't use them for milk though.

I just found that on allears.net, although they did not say what you could get to drink only that it is only at your resort.

That is the trouble. It seems like this starts as an innocent question and then there are some posters who get really worked up about it. On my mugs from the Poly it states "Good for trip when purchased and Good only at location purchased." Or something along those lines. But you know what? I did not see that on there until a long time after we got home. I had been looking for signs in the food court and did not see any, but then there it was on the mug.

The mug I purchased at CBR in 10/03 reads:

"Refillable only at location purchased. Free refills until the end of you stay."

That being said, I saw people refilling mugs at the food court from other resorts, plus I saw someone with a 711 mug! CM's were working around the drink station and said nothing. It's kind of a slap in the face to people who paid $10.99 for a legitimate mug seeing a mug not even related to Disney.

I was going to say the same thing. I don't think having a mug at FW is worth it unless you really, really like fountain soda or coffee. It would probably be less much less expensive and time consuming to pick up a case of soda or brew your own coffee.

I agree.. and I think that is what I would do, just not worth going by bus to get a drink.

I purchase mine solely for a souvineer with the added bonus of free refills. We spent 2 nights at CBR and I bought one. My DH loves his mug collection

You can get soda, iced tea, and coffee in the refillable mugs. We got them on our last trip and they were a good value for us, we bought two and were there 10 days.

We stayed at PO,FQ, ASmo, and WL. Each time, we bought re-fillable mugs. The CMs told us they were good at each respective rresort for life. So, I can tell you, that I will be taking my old WL mugs with me when we go back. DH specifically asked, "Forever?", and was told yes!
