Refillable Mugs Question!

Hello everyone!

I know the use of refillable mugs is a touchy subject on the DIS, but I have a quick question.

I know you can ask for water at any CS restaurant in the parks, and get it for free so can you get water in your refillable mug at the parks even though you're only supposed to use them at resorts?

Anyone tried this??

CS restaurants, for sanitary reasons, will not take your refillable mug into the serving area to put water in it.

If you want to carry the mug into the park, you can get a cup of water from a CS and then pour it into your mug yourself.

It's because WDW has rules about the mug program, and sometimes people advocate breaking those rules. That irritates some people.

If you want to carry the mug into the park, you can get a cup of water from a CS and then pour it into your mug yourself.

This is what I usually do. Keeps the cold beverage cold longer.

However, last time I was there the cup of water was pretty small, and probably wouldn't have gotten very warm before I finished it.

Additionally, when we were there in 2008 a couple of times the waiters at the TS restaurants (I specifically remember this happening at Prime Time, Le Cellier, and Grand Floridian Cafe) offered to bring us one last refill to pour into our mugs.

I agree with the others that they won't fill them for you, but a lot of times they will let you fill it like any other to go container.
