How much do these mugs cost and with a family of 5 do we buy one for all of us? We will be at WDW for a week and I don't know if it will be worth it when most of the day you are at the parks. What do others do?

We are a family of 4. Our past 2 trips we bought 2 mugs and shared. I usually filled them up in the mornings as we woke up and went back for refills when we returned to the room at night. Even with only that, they were a good deal for us.

During the day--we bought bottled water on day one and refilled from water fountains each day!

Does everyone drink alot of soda? My DH always uses his, but I stick to water and the kids drink water and juice, so we only buy one for him.

Think about your room location too and if it would be a short or long walk to the food court for refills. We drive so taking a 12 pack or two of drinks and keeping then on ice in the rooms works well for us and is cheaper too.

We usually do 2 mugs for our family of 4, dh and I get coffee in the morning and then the kids will use them for lemonade at pool time as well as when we are eating in the food court.

DH and DD's don't drink soda so they will choose milk, juice etc. not offered in the refill machines.

We always hit the grocery store to keep soda, juice and water in the room. Just keep a cooler or keep the drinks warm and keep the ice bucket filled to chill drinks one at at time.

This was the first time we bought them, and it was because my mom and the kids were spending several days hanging out at the resort while I was in a conference. On trips when we've mostly been at the parks it wouldn't have been worth it.

The distance from the room to the food court is definitely a factor. We had a L-O-N-G walk to the food court (from the far reaches of Port Orleans Riverside) so they didn't get refilled as often as they might have.

Sorry forgot you asked about the price, most of the resorts sell the mugs for 10.99 and you get free unlimited refills of soda, coffee, tea and usually lemonade, ice tea and sometimes powerade. A few of the resorts offer a slightly cheaper price on the mugs and then charge a reduced fee to fill them.

For all the information check out www.allearsnet. com Deb has a complete list of all the mug prices and the prices for refulls.

I think I read somewhere that the price has increased to $11.99 now... We're a family of 3, and we all prefer different drinks, so we each got our own. To us it was worth it because of that, plus (like another poster said) we were very close to the food court to get refills whenever we wanted...

They have a plain water dispenser - separate from the soda dispenser, but right next to it. I don't remember seeing seltzer water there at all. They also have coffee and hot chocolate.

Hi!

In my opinion, if you don't drink alot of soda at home and your kids don't, save your money!
They'll just drink more and moreand so will you!

We go to Disney 2 times a year, and we have learned pretty quick, the only one with a mug is Dad for his am coffee!

Me and kids have bottled water and juice boxes.

Just my 2 cents....

7 days until Disney Magic!!!

When DH and I go by ourselves..we ususally bought one and shared. When we went with our kids, we bought one for whoever wanted a drink. Most of us did juice boxes or water...but if you are at your resort food court a lot..I think they are worth it.

I buy one for everyone. We all drink sodas. We also like the food court at the resort. (CBR is the current favorite!)

I will buy two on my upcoming trip. My DH is a soda fanatic, and I use my most recent mug for water at work. This trip will be a little different as I'm expecting and am pretty much only drinking ice water except for the ocassional iced tea. I figure my DD and I can share one and sometimes she can have a soda, sometimes I'll just fill it with ice water (yes, I know water is free - just tastes different out of a nifty mug!).

Have a great trip!
