refillable mugs at ASMo

Do they change the design every year? How do they know if you bought it then or not? If they change it when? Anyone bought one recently and if so what does it look like if notsure it was last years or not. Trying to save money don't flame me.

On my last trip in December I was debating on whether or not to buy them because our trip was short, and the CM told me that its a good deal because we could use them on future trips too as long as we are staying at one of the all stars.

I was surprized she told me that because I had read online otherwise, but if I go back I'll be sure to bring my mugs because the CM told me I could.

No one will say anything at the resort. They only say stuff on this board. If it makes you feel better, do as I do and ask at the foodcourt if what you were told still holds true. Nothing lost by asking.

I agree, no one would say anything. I wouldn't want to do something wrong, becuase that's just me. So if I were to knowingly break the rules it would totally freak me out inside, but since I was giving permission I'd be okay.

But when I was there, there were people filling mugs from all different resorts and 7up mugs and everything. Now that was definately wrong, but its not my place to say anything and the CMs were too busy doing their jobs to say anything. I think that since fountain soda is so cheap, its not their top priority.

Just don't freak about it. Just ask when you get there, or if you don't want to drag them along call and ask. Maybe you can even say "a friend of yours (we're all friends, right?) was told by a CM that she could use them on future trips and that's why she bought her mugs... is that still valid?"

I didn't tell you this before, because I thought I had gone to WDW 1.5 years ago, when in reality it was less than 6 months. It seems like longer since I want to go back.


Anyway, the mug I got when I was there in December had a bunch of stars and music notes on it. The stars are gold, blue, green and pink. The music notes are black. Mickey (in full color) is playing a guitar and wearing sunglasses. In the background you can see images of minnie playing miracas, donald playing a drum, goofy playing a sax, and daisy on a fiddle. These guys are all in sillouette (all black). On it it says very small "disney's all star resorts." It also says "free refills until the end of your stay." and "refills only at location purchased," which is, as you recall much different than what the CM told me when I bought them.

Our mug has a green lid and handle, but I think there were different colors for that.

I wouldn't stress over it either. Our last trip, we used mugs of the ASmo from the previous trip and nothing was said.
We'll spring for new ones this trip because ours are getting pretty faded and scratched off.
Regardless, they are wonderful souveniers that only
WDW trippers can get!!

Regardless of the All-Star Resort you purchase your mug at, they are refillable at any of the All-Star Resorts. Therefore the "look" of the mug doesn't matter. They probably all look the same anyway.

The AsMo mugs are the same as they were from NOV 2002 Minus a small 100 yrs of magic logo that was on mine from than but not my friends that was bought May 2004.


The Design is Fab 6 dressing room. The top colors are Purple, Blue, Red.
