Refillable mug questions...

I haven't heard of a 'drink of the day mug' but I did see an offer that DCL had posted on the Magic in January. If you already have a refillable mug and would like to have some alcohol added to it, it was an additional $2.99 per occurence.

I can't drink alcoholic beverages so I didn't pay that much attention to it, but I recall it was something like rum added to coke, or whiskey, and I think there were a couple of others available, but it was for alcohol to be added to your 12 ounce fountain drink.

There was also mention of a refillable beer mug and I don't recall what that was, but I believe it was at the ESPN lounge.

hope that helps

A week or two ago, a poster reported that you could purchase the 'drink of the day' in a 20oz DCL plastic mug - similar to the ESPN glass mug - for $2 extra. This mug could then be used for the duration of the cruise. You would be getting a bigger bang for your buck, as they would refill this mug with the drink of your choice and charge you at the regular drink price -- even though this is a larger mug.

Thanks! I knew I read something about it somewhere.

Yes, yes ,yes!! There is a "Drink of the Day". As I remember, and I am not a big drinker, but I did have, an "island kiss"one night. When I think about the highlight of our vacation, I remember myself lying on a hammock on Castaway Cay in 80degree sunshine around 11:30 in the morning sipping a "Bahama Mama"...the drink of the day, and thinking "It doesn't get much better than this"!

To Dave,
I was talking about Hot tea, not iced. The hot tea was awful, I truely believe it was the water, because I even brought my own brand of tea bags & still the tea was awful. Maybe next year I will try the sun tea, it's better than nothing.

Sorry, in my last responce I didn't mention anything about the glass. You can buy your "drink of the day" in a tall, flute style, plastic glass. I didn't know that they were refillable! We came home with two of them. The kids still use them. Enjoy

Actually the Drink of the Day is always offered in a regular cup or a special "souvenir" cup for which they charge a couple of dollars more. I myself have a couple of different styles of these that I saved from my cruises, the Conch Cooler being the most distinctive as it is in a pink shell shape cup.

If you use these cups later on for your drink of the day, you still pay the same price that you would for the drink in a regular cup.

trying not to beat this into the ground, but what about other Coke products? Just Coke and Diet Coke or something like Sprite?
