refillable mug question

Hi everyone! have our trip planned for Aug & want to buy the mugs. It appears there are 3 colors to choose from, pink, blue and yellow. Because there are 4 in my family, do you think it would be ok if I bring a black lid from last years mug to use? That way I will still have the new mug, just with a diff. lid? Thanks

You could always make mismatched mugs.

for example
person one-blue mug and blue lid
person two-yellow mug and yellow lid
person three-blue mug and pink lid
person four-pink mug and blue lid.

This keeps you from having to remember the extra lid!!

I think I read somewhere there are 4 lid colors (3 handle colors though). I read Blue, Pink, Yellow and Black (the yellow and black lids both have yellow handles). Can't for the life of me remember where I saw it. I hope the info I read was accurate and you have an easier time keeping your mugs straight!

I've always found it odd there that there were 3 colors instead of 4. It seems to me that having 4 colors makes it easy for a family of 4 but also makes it easier to mismatch for larger families.

I hope that there really are white and purple now as well...my DD has called the pink mug for our August trip and that's the one that I like. I would be totally thrilled to get either white or purple.

We always pack a sharpie and mark the bottoms of our mugs. We are a family of 4 and the 3 different colors aren't enough for us either.

I was wondering if anyone had photos of their refillable mugs that they could post? I'm planning our first WDW trip for next June and was planning on doing the mugs. I've got no idea what they look like though and would like to satisfy that curiosity. Thanks in advance for the help!

I was there 5/4-5/9 and at first I only saw pink, blue, & yellow; but a few days later I saw black too. I was wondering about the 4 diff. colors too, since in a few years we will be buying 4 mugs.

I spotted purple at the Beach Club one day in March, but we had already purchased our mugs. I thought about buying one anyway, but hesitated. I never saw another purple mug the entire week. I wish I had just picked it up and purchased it when I saw it.

we're so bad. There's only three of us and we can never remember who has what color. I bring a black sharpie with us to use for several reasons, but one of them is to write our names on our mugs.

We were just at wdw last week, and we had a black lid mug in addition to the colors you listed. I cannot remember if the handle was also black, but there are definitely at least 4 lid covers.

The "black mug" has both a black lid & handle....I have one sitting in my kitchen right now.

I will be on the lookout for the purple one when we arrive in 3 weeks.

In the past you could get two shapes. One that was taller and thinner that fit in your cup holder. I like this because I use my cup in the car. Or you could get a fatter shorter cup. By the pictures it looks like there is only one shape - the tall thin one. Can anyone tell me what is available. I do like the new design.

We were just there on May 16th - 17th. They had blue, pink and black for our choices at the Music. I didn't see yellow.

They switched to the one style of mug a fews years back....2007 I think. It's the tall thin one that fits in a cup holder.

I wondered that. Last time I was there, we saw only the tall thin ones. Back when we stayed at pop century three years in a row, we bought the mugs the first year, and just brought them back the next two years. Why buy them again and again. I learned a few years ago, just keep the cooler in the room. Dump out any melted water at the end of the night, and add ice from the machine in the hall. You don't need the mugs at all. Last year we stayed at Coronado, and had a fridge in the room. We just put our drinks in there. We always bring a couple of cases of coke with us for the room.
