Refillable Mug Poll

I'm wondering what your refillable mug strategy is. NOT what you think it right or wrong, just what you do. Just curious. I have posted this on the Budget Board to compare results, too!

We have bought one every trip, but that was with the resort specific mugs. I have the YOMD mug for 2007. We are doing the Deluxe DP next year so we will get new mugs, but I really think I would have bought them anyhow.

We buy mugs every trip. It specifically states the conditions of purchase on the mug. We save money by purchasing these - I don't need to reuse them to make them worthwhile.

Bought them once, didn't like them, doubt I'll ever buy them again. They don't hold enough despite being fairly bulky to tota around. I'd rather just have bottled drinks delivered to the room from Garden Grocer.

I voted every trip, but it has nothing to do with the "rules" and everything to do with the fact that I do not feel like packing 5 mugs in my luggage when we fly down there. As it was, my luggage was over the weight limit last time.

Plus, we use the mugs regularly at home and they are nice souvenirs.

We buy a new one each trip. We only get one, since DH drinks coffee and soda during the day, but I prefer water.

With the new mugs in 07, I admit, we took them on both of our trips. Ah well, I hardly think Disney is going to go broke over it.

I buy a new mug every trip, its one of my suvies! If I can kick my soda habit I wont buy one for the next trip, but if we stay at Pop it sure is nice for the frozen cokes!!!!!

I've reused them but I'll be getting new ones this trip, we're on the deluxe dining plan. We bought one last trip, too because we were staying at SSR for the first time.

I've always bought them because I liked that they were different for every resort and they were great mementos to bring back home. Now that they are generic, it is hard to say what I'll do. I have the 2007 mugs, if they don't change I may reuse them

I bought my WL mug in may 2006.....dutifully brought it back to WL in
Nov 2006.....

However.....I only put water in it

I don't drink soda....their coffee is nasty(i make my own).....and it's
too hot for hot cocoa....

I'm getting the deluxe plan which comes with a mug in April....I think I might
give someone a "DREAM" and give them my free mugs

I buy it. It's a nice and useful reminder of my trip. I don't know if I'd buy 2 of the same design though. I'm so excited to be using for frozen coke at pop in 3 days!!!!!!!

Funny story - I was standing at the bus stop with my son a few weeks ago and I saw another parent walking up to the stop with a Disney refillable mug holding his coffee...turns out they had just come back from the Food & Wine trip and are DVC owners.

OT-tell me about the frozen cokes at POP. Is it just Coke, or other flavors?

I voted other. We always stayed at Fort Wilderness where a mug just didn't seem useful. Then we joined DVC and most places we stayed just didn't have convenient places to fill and use mugs. So it wasnt' worth it to us. But I did buy a mug once. Last Feb I took a trip with my mother and sister and we stayd at the All Star Sports and had a rental car. We bought the mugs on our first day. Used them at lunchtime, left them in the car (which was parked very near the bus stop). Picked them up when we got back from the park and re-filled them with a drink for the evening. In the morning my sister (our lone smoker) would take all three mugs when she went for her morning cigarette and would get our first cup of coffee for the day. Then we'd go to the food court for breakfast and get a second cup of coffee. And then we'd leave them in the car, head for the park, get them when we got back and refill for evening. Definitely worth it that trip especially since theywere still resort specific so they also made a nice souvenir. But staying at the DVC resorts, I can't think that I would ever bother with a refillable mug.
