Do the refillable mug stations have open/closed hours or are they accessible 24/7? (Just want to know if I want something to drink in the middle of the night or super early in the morning before going to rope drop, can I go there?)

All Star Sports is the only resort I know of that has a mug refill station that never closes.

I had called and asked Sports what times the cafe is open for me to use the mugs and I believe I was told 6am-11pm. But maybe the Sports CM didn't know that the refill stations stayed open. That would be nice to come back from late emh for a beverage. I have to call Monday for requesting continuous stay on split reservations, can make sure on this too.

The CM you spoke to was not actually AT Sports. They were at a Central Call Center not on property. When anyone tries to call a resort that call gets routed to the Call Center. Even when you press the Front Desk button on the phone in your resort room it also routes to the Call Center. And the phone CMs are not good at resort specific questions.

I called again just now, asked 3x specifically if cm was at Sports, she said yes, (last occurrence she's sounded perturbed I kept questioning:) she's there and not at a call center offsite. She said the refillable mugs are only able for use during cafe times which change slightly from time to time but currently 630-12. Hope you're right and they're available 24/7, but for us those hrs are pretty decent anyhow except a couple AK RD days in am.

If it's not 24/7, I suggest buying & bringing some Soda Stream bottles to fill up and leave in room for any early morning/late night cravings.

That is what they are trained to say. It's rare you will get one that actually admits they are in a call center. Think about how many cm there would have to be at each hotel if they actually answered the phones.

As of today, I am right about the refill station.

Also right about the Call Center. I've had 4 family members who worked there. They are trained to do everything possible to let the guestvtjink they are at the resort. Even transferring guests to another call center CM pretending to transfer the guest to another department at the resort.

That's interesting that they will lie to you if you confront them about not being there. But I suppose with the volume of callers it makes sense that they have to have enough staff on hand vs the handful of people at Sports, for instance. Thanks for the info.

They absolutely full on lie. She wasn't there.

It is disconcerting to me. It actually causes me to doubt anything that a CM tells me, which is sad. I double check anything that I am told by a CM, especially if the CM is on the phone.

Even if they aren't deliberately lying, telephone CM's are often just plain wrong in what they tell you. You get better information here on the Dis!!

There are mini fridges in every room. If you need a drink in the hours that the QS is closed. Buy some soda at the gift shop or make a grocery store run and put it in the fridge. The QS service is going to be open in the early morning even if you are rope dropping. There are also vending machines.

If you push the "front desk" button on your resort room phone, you also get a call center.

i am only staying 3 days ,mugs do not seem worth it ,can i bring my own tea and use hot water and creamer without purchasing mugs?
