Hi,

I just got back from CBR we had a great time and where very happy with our room. But I just wanted to throw some advice out there that my parents learned the hard way.

Before you buy the refillable mug, make sure you are close enough to the main building on your resort. If you are not so close, are you going to walk to your main building multiple times a day to refill?

My example. We stayed in Trinidad South. Although I was very happy with our rooms, the main building was a hike. Immediately the first night, my mom bought the mug with the logic that she drinks a ton of coffee and it would be worth it. As it was a minimum 10 minute walk to food court, we only went there 4 times over 8 days. So you can see that she didn't benefit from buying the mug.

We did get our fill of coffee thankfully the Mousekeeping was very generous and gave each of our rooms 5 packets of coffee daily.

OTOH, if you go to the food court for nothing more than breakfast every day, you'll definitely get your money's worth.

We would hike to the main building in the morning to eat breakfast. Before we would get on the bus to go to the parks, we would put all of our mugs in a bag and check it as luggage for the day. When we came back in the afternoon, we would get off at the bus stop at the main house and get our bag of mugs back from checked luggage. We would sit and drink a few cups in the food court before returning to our room for the day. Just an idea. We did this at CBR and POR.

Hmm, now that's an idea. What kind of bag did you use? What kind of info did you need on it? How long did it take to get/drop off?

We normally bring an extra bag with us as a just in case. We used one of those bags that they offer to you in the gift shop for an extra $10 or a back pack for this very reason.

If I remember correctly, they asked for my name and room number. I'm kind of fuzzy on those details.

It really didn't take long at all. You hand over your bag. They put a ticket on it, and you keep the stub. Upon your return, you give them back your stub and go along your merry way. We would always spilt up at this point. One person would go check the bag while the other went with the stroller to the bus stop. My DH and I would get there within about a minute of each other.

HTH!

Or - I was thinking to take the mug with me to the parks. You can refill it with water at the fountains to avoid paying for drinks there. I'm just wondering if it's leak proof - otherwise I'll bring a water bottle.

I have a mug from about 7 years ago. Can you bring those back and use them or do you have to buy a new one?

You can use your old mug at the parks to refill with water. If you want to use a mug at the resorts you will have to buy a new one.
