Referal Program?

Hi all,

Just got the paperwork for SSR today (now I have to sign all those pages). I went to the members site for the first time and saw a referal link where you could enter friends names. I was just wondering if there are any sort of incentives for these types of referals? I'm sure its somewhere in all that paperwork I got today, but I'm not up to looking through all of it right now. Can anyone help me out?

There are rewards given out for referring people who purchase. However, the very first contact these people have with DVC they need to mention your name. Once they are in the computer, then they are DVC's "own".

Whether or not you can participate in the program is all up to your home state law. CT, for example, does not allow DVC to compensate people who provide referrals.

Here is the list of states that allow referrals...........

Alabama,California,Delaware,Florida,GeorgiaHawaii,Idaho,Illonois,Iowa,Kansas,Louisianna,Maryland,Mass,Missisippi,Missouri,Nevada,New Hampshire,New Jersey,New Mexico,New York,North Dakota,Ohio,Rhode Island,South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

1st referral-$200 Disney Dollars
2nd referral-$350 Disney Dollars
3rd referral-$500 Disney Dollars

These referrals go from Jan 1st to Dec 31st then start over.

I can vouch to the fact that your name must be mentioned at the VERY FIRST contact with DVC for you to get the referral. Disney is very strict about this. I had friends who were staying at WDW call from their resort at the Poly to make an appt to come to the sales office for a tour one hour later--they did not mention my name on the phone. As soon as they arrived at the sales center and met the guide they mentioned my name before they even took the tour, talked to the guide etc. Too late, I did not qualify for the referral!
