ok, so if my touring plans involve starting our day at DL, hopping over to CA for a show or two and some rides, going back to DL, taking a hotel break at midafternoon then heading back to the parks for evening, how does re-entering each park work? Is there a hand stamp when you leave, or do you have to wait in the same line as everyone else waiting to get in for the first time?
Just trying to get an idea of whether 'multiple park hoppings' during the day are going to waste a lot of time....we will have our own stroller, so trading that in multiple times won't be an issue (part of the reason we are bringing our own rather than renting....)

TIA,
Carm

Yes, you get your hand stamped when exiting DL or DCA (but you only need one stamp from one park for re-entry). You will still have to wait in regular lines to get back in. They don't have special "re-entry lines". I have never found this to be a problem with the exception of after DCA closes and everyone heads over to DL.

Also, just an FYI, the strollers can go back and forth between the two parks, they just can't be removed into DTD or past the security tents. I find it very easy to park hop, and if planned out well to take advantage of collecting FP's and avoiding crowds, is not a waste of time at all. Hopping more than once a day to DCA isn't usually something I would do, though.

You get your hand stamped while you are leaving the park. I don't think there are any special lines to re-enter the parks, but we have never had any problems with long waits to get in except for first time early morning.

DM - thanks for the response. We probably wouldn`t hop to DCA more than once in a day, unless my headstrong 5 year old decides he absolutely HAS to ride the Chew Chew Train before we leave, or we want to return just for a parade or show, then spend the rest of our time in DL....

Carole - LOVE your countdown ticker! Keeps track to the very second....:rotfl: I can see you aren`t looking forward to your trip much....:lmao:

Same line, they rescan your tickets and from time to time, they do check your handstamp.

Just be careful the day you go isnt a insanely busy day. If Disneyland gets too packed, no reentry. :|

Rental stroller info, in case you would like it:

About the strollers, if you do leave the parks entirely, we were told by the bag check people that we could leave our rental right near the bag check exit.

There have been some who reported that their rental was moved, returned, or perhaps even taken by a sneaky person, but when we came back from DTD ours was right there.

But even if it isn't there, just take your receipt from the day's rental and go right up to the person giving out the strollers (no need to wait in line again!), give them your receipt, and take a stroller. You would probably want to have them make up another nametag, too.

Really- you can take one stroller out of DL and over to DCA and vice versa? Another post on another site made it sound like you had to get a new one at each park- so this is fantastic news:) Much easier for sure!
