Redwood Creek Challenge Trail

I've just started planning our July vacation to Disneyland. We've never been before - we usually go to WDW. i've noticed one attraction called Redwood Creek Challenge Trail featuring "The Magic Of Brother Bear Show". It looks like something my kids would love except the Disney site lists a height restriction of 42". Is this right? Why would you put a height restriction of 42" on something specifically designed for children? My kids are short. My 7 year old at 43" will be tall enough for it, but the 4 year old is only 38". Anyone have any insight?

There are a few activities that have a height thing (I think the rope swing may be one) but there were lots of little kids at the Brother Bear show and a few places that little kids could play at near the show but most of the challange trail was for big kids

I think the only thing that might actually be restricted is the zip-line. The rest of it is just like a giant big-toy that you would see in your local park. With a cute cave where you see your animal spirit, ie bear, eagle, etc..

The magic of brother bear show would have no restriction at all.

I have seen lot's of little kids playing there, but I do remember some of the smaller ones not being able to do the zip-line. It is independent of the rest of the playing area, in other words you do not have to do it to do the rest of the attraction.

That makes sense. They could be a bit more specific on the site. Perhaps something like "Elelements of this attraction have a height restriction". I was worried that I would end up with a crying 4 year old who enviously watched his sister go on the playground. Either that or avoid it altogether. Now I know its probably OK. He'd be too scared to do the rope swing or zipcord anyway.

There are plenty of things for little ones to do. There is a rock climbing wall - they must have tennis shoes with socks for this, and also a place where the kids can take off their shoes and play in a little 'creek', there's a bat cave, lots of neat trails and slides. I'm sure it's only the zip-line as well. Haven't seen the show yet - they had Chip and Dales there before and it was really funny - lots of interaction with the kids! Have fun!

My boys LOVE this place!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it. And I love it too since they get to burn off some serious energy after waiting in lines. They're faves are the rock climbing wall and the zip line. The only bad thing is there are lots of little hiding places, but it's still a great place

When my daughter was 3 we went to the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, and the only thing she couldn't do was the zip line. This wasn't a problem for her because there were a lot of other things to distract her.

As for the show--there isn't really a height restriction for that. It's actually a stage show with Koda and Kenai (in bear form) and a host. Word of warning if your children collect autographs--they aren't going to get Koda and Kenai's autographs because they can't sign with their bear paws. (We couldn't get the penguin from Mary Poppins to sign an autograph, either, darn it.) The show was cute, though.
