Redcard Extra 5% off can it be used on Disney Gift Cards?

There is a one time use extra 5% off coupon available through the Target app for redcard holders. I use the regular 5% off and get it on Disney Gift Cards. I am assuming the extra 5% will apply to it too but wondering if anyone has had any luck with it yet?

In the fine print, it says gift cards are excluded.

This is something to look into though because their gift card exclusion might be on Target gift cards. It depends on how the Disney gift cards are coded into the system. I know at my local grocery store the Disney gift cards are coded as retail items and not gift cards. I know this because they have a policy that you can't buy a gift card with a gift card but i have been able to buy Disney gift cards using a gift card from the store.

Doh... I just actually saw in another thread that if you order online it still will. So might be something to check into.

Yes. I've done it numerous times, most recently to pay for our trip this past summer. - I always do it online.

Yes the red card 5% still works on gift cards!
