Final Thoughts

This was our third trip to WDW as a family and being there for 12 days allowed us to do everything we wanted multiple times without killing ourselves. We bought what we wanted, ate/drank when or what we wanted - the kids got into pins, I ate ice cream at 10:00 in the morning, we spent time with each other that I know from my childhood experience my kids will one day appreciate even more. My total cost for the trip including everything – hotel, travel, tips, eating, souvenirs, etc… was $5320. Is that a lot of money – yes, do I think it was worth it – yes. It was 12 days of being able to have all of us enjoy ourselves and each other without having to worry about the phone, work, school, practice, etc…. Was there things on the trip that could have bothered me – sure – I saw some rude people here and there, I had to wait in line for delays sometimes, it was very hot some days – but I was on vacation, in no hurry, with my wife and kids – and it is the last time I’ll be able to do that with them being 7 and 10, nothing in life is promised and if I’m able to do things now – I do them. I’d like to thank WDW for giving me the opportunity to spend that time with my family at the greatest vacation spot for families in the world. Hope you all enjoyed my report – if you need any details or have any questions let me know – the DIS has been very good to me over the years. Thanks.

I enjoyed your report very much. I would love to do a similar trip. Our trips tend to be budget trips but one of these days we're going to spring for a nice long, do what we want to do, see what we want to see, eat what we want to eat buy what we want to buy trips. Right now we just have a toddler and a baby on the way so maybe when they're your kids ages we'll be able to afford it :) Sounds like you had a wonderful time.

Thank you for your trip reports. Maybe I'm being overly-sentimental, but this post made me tear up. We are very lucky to have somewhere like WDW in our lives.

Glad you had a wonderful trip!

Bravo! Wonderful report, and loved your final thoughts. Thanks for sharing with us!

Wonderful reports...so glad you shared, but even more happy you and your family had a delightful vacation experience. Love hearing positive reports about DWD:D

Thanks again redbirdgrad:)

Makes me want to go really, really bad!

What a terrific series of reports! Your closing comments actually put a huge smile on my face. I agree completely with your statement regarding quality time with your family. We are a family of 3 and I must say the single fondest memory I have with my (now 10 year old) son is having him on my shoulders, standing in the center of Main Street USA watching the Fantasy In The Sky fireworks when he leans down to my right ear and says "Dad, this is the best day of my whole life". He was 4 !!!

From that point on I / we have been hooked. It certainly helps to also have a Cast Member cousin who has arranged for some magical moments beyond belief !!

Thanks again for sharing your trip and especially that closing. I'm 39 and I think we see things alot alike.
