Red Sox Fans Thread ...let us pray...and sing...

Cowsills = Bad sign. Off to see if I have any of their old records so I can break them!

3-0 in the first inning. This is sad but at least they won't break our hearts at the end of the 7th game like they did last year. :sad1:

:faint: I can't stand this. I really really really can't.
Tie it up, go ahead, then give it up again.

To Dream, the Impossible Dream .............

sigh

CowSills...meet the CowPies!

Wow how embarrassing for Boston..Yankees are just spanking them every time they turn around. I am from NY but was actually hoping that Boston would win because I feel so sorry for them...they are pitiful!

My whole life I've seen the Sox lose the important games in creative ways but this was the first time I've ever felt embarassed for the organization.

From having the Cowsills sing the national anthem to Fox showing Johnny Damon cutting his toenails on TV  , the whole evening was shameful.

I don't know what is going on with this club right now. They seem totally out of touch with reality except for a few of the players. Varitek and Cabrera most notibly seem to have a clue but others need to wake up and smell the coffee.

With this disappointing series it would not at all surprise me if we see a dramatically altered team next Spring. Right now I feel like no one has a guarantee of being in a Red Sox uniform for 2005.

Well, and now, we bump back to the top, since the pregame show is on NESN right now.

Sheesh--I went to bed last night at 11:30, and missed the dramatics from Big Papi.

So---on with the Rally Caps everyone. Still we beleive. To Dream....

Who's with me tonight? Of course, I will be at the soccer field with DS from 5:30-6:30

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce:

We were up till they won it last night....

What was UP with the showing of Johnny Damon cutting his toenails?!? We had to rewind the Tivo because we all did a doubletake like WHY! Why are you showing us this????

LOL....I never saw the toenail thing. Weird!

I went to bed early last night, they were down 3-0.

My dad says if they win tonight they are "going all the way for sure". He believes! ::yes:: :teeth:

Im not really a Sox fan but I am pulling for you guys. Well atleast until they are playing the Astros :teeth:

Was he cutting his toenails LAST NIGHT? They showed him cutting his toenails Sunday night, and I was grossed out! The commentator even said something like, "I hope we never have to see that again"

So gross. And I agree, did we REALLY need to see that?

OK Nation--here we go again.

Think Francona and Torre are both doing rain dances today? Both bullpens are positively SHOT.

I stayed up last night for the whole thing, and then was SO wired I could not get to sleep til after midnight.

Oh well, I guess the dark circles are worth it when they keep on winning.....

Ugh...can't breathe...feeling light-headed...

OK--who's lighting the candles? Who's starting the Novena? And for the love of all that is good and holy, who's got the VALIUM????????

GO SOX!!!!!

If we're this tired from just watching imagine how exhausted the players are! According to the Globe this morning Tim Wakefield said he would be able to pitch tonight if needed! :earseek: They are willing to do anything to win this series!

Two more games, two more games....

GO SOX!!!

Obviously, I'm a Yankees fan, but I promise to be nice:D

I just wanted to post and say that Terry Francona's pre-game press conference was just on TV and he said that Wakefield has been told to prepare himself to be the starter for a potential game seven.

Just wanted to pass along that news for you.

Sorry I can't wish you good luck but I will take some of that valium that's being offered.

Thanks for being nice Figment :)

My BIL (he and my sister are huge Boston sports fans) broke his leg while on a trip to Ireland early in the month(long story)...has been home for this series and watched the first three games...then gave in to the pain killers (as much for his broken heart as for his broken leg) and has slept through the last two games. ;) My sister will be sure he doses up tonight to sleep through this one too::yes:: Which reminds me...I need to change into the clothes I've worn for the last 2 nights and set my AOL IM away message to the fan prayer like it has been the last 2 nights....
No supersitions here ;)

Keep hope alive!!

Please, please, please let the Sox win!!!

Glad to read your post NHAnn! Thought I was the only one with the clothing superstition! My wife is getting a little upset with me, as well as, sitting further and further away from me in our living room. !!!

I have a pair of hawaiian print lounging pants and a Red Sox hoodie that I wore through the Angels series. Then DW decided to pick up some clothes in our room and threw them down our hamper. I couldn't find them for the first three games but, lo and behold, they appeared in time for game 4. Come to think of it, it's getting to be close to changing time
