Hello all! Anyone here bleed orange? What happened to our longhorns...? what happened for the last four years? why does ol' Mack Brown keep getting out coached? Is it him, or he coaching staff?...or does it all boil down to the fact that the Longhorns are a team of spoiled wah wahs?

This was VERY bad. I've decided to avoid the Cotton Bowl this weekend even though I'm not a strong Texas fan. I am however a Texan so I'll wait to go to the fair next weekend.

Indeed they played the best in the nation. However I must argue that the players of the game were about equal. It was the coaching on the OU's part that made ALL of the difference. i would also like to point out that our horns need to go to the gym some more and get back to basics. but still....HOOK 'EM HORNS!!!!!

The problem isn't that Mack Brown is a bad coach...it's that Stoops is so much better!

Brown has the talent, he just doesn't develop it as well as he should. The Texas players aren't drilled on their fundamentals as much as they should be, and they're not in shape. Chris Simms even said over the summer that he doesn't feel he was coached very well -- and he definitely didn't develop as much as a quarterback as he could have elsewhere. The disparity is even more noticeable when you put Texas up against a team that is so well coached and ridiculously in shape.

I have a feeling people will start calling for Mack Brown's head in about 24 hours if they haven't already...

Anyhow, I've already got tickets to Kansas City for the Big XII Championship! And I'm looking at hotels in New Orleans, too!

Hey Fooboy, I bleed orange, although it's for the Pokes. I agree that Texas was just flat outcoached. Hopefully they'll be able to turn this around and make the game more competitive in the future.

As for you, SoonerKate, my DH and I will be happy to relieve you of those Big XII championship tickets after November 1st.

indeed kate! mack does have the potential. after all, he did almost..i repeat...almost, brought your nasty sooners to the brink. *sigh. im just gonna sit a pray that Stoops lets two games go. that way, we'll still have a chance. if we lose to Baylor, imma go jump off of the tower. haha! the Nebraska game should be pretty good though. please, mack....do something!!!!

SoonerKate, Since I live in "little Norman" I'm fortunate enough to be surrounded by obnoxious OU fans every day of my life. I think I'll pass on shelling out any cash to be surrounded by them in Kansas City as well. Congrats to OU on the win. I'm still trying to figure out who those guys in Cowboy uniforms were last Saturday because they sure as h*** weren't the team I've been watching for the past month or so. Anyway, at least now you guys can go back to overlooking us on the schedule next year. We seem to operate much better that way...
