The problem isn't that Mack Brown is a bad coach...it's that Stoops is so much better!
Brown has the talent, he just doesn't develop it as well as he should. The Texas players aren't drilled on their fundamentals as much as they should be, and they're not in shape. Chris Simms even said over the summer that he doesn't feel he was coached very well -- and he definitely didn't develop as much as a quarterback as he could have elsewhere. The disparity is even more noticeable when you put Texas up against a team that is so well coached and ridiculously in shape.
I have a feeling people will start calling for Mack Brown's head in about 24 hours if they haven't already...
Anyhow, I've already got tickets to Kansas City for the Big XII Championship! And I'm looking at hotels in New Orleans, too!
