Red Lobster or Olive Garden?

I like both. It just depends on what mood Im in. I dont eat seafood either but they do have steak and chicken you can order.

Neither one are my first choice, but between the two I would take Olive Garden.

I haven't been in a Red Lobster and probably won't for a long, long time. DH had food poisening twice and won't let us go there. :) We were just talking how we need to go out for seafood though, good seafood (no offense to Red Lobster lovers).

Between those two I would chose Red Lobster. We had a bad experience at Olive Garden several years back and promised to never eat there again and so far we havn't. We were there one Sunday after church with our DD in her wheelchair and some friends were with us and we waited and waited to be seated and people with the same number we being seated in front of us so we finally asked why we had not been seated and were told by the hostess that they were looking for a spot where DD would not draw attention to her.
AFter all the steam left my DH ears we have told everyone not to eat there. It has been about 4 years and it seems like yesterday. We havn't missed it a bit. If you are looking for someplace in Orlando there are much better places than either of these two.

I love Olive Garden. We have never had a bad meal there yet.

Don't make me choose! I like them both!! :teeth: Red Lobster for their Caesar salads and cheese bread, Olive Garden for their unlimited salad and breadsticks, and I can always find an entree at either one that I enjoy. DH doesn't care for Olive Garden though, so we rarely go. The last time I was there was with DD, she likes it just as much as I do. :)

Megan's Mom: So sorry to hear about your experience at Olive Garden, that was terrible. The restaurant where I work at we do have to be selective in the tables where we seat a party with a wheelchair, as it's an old-fashioned diner and because of the configuration of the tables, and because some of the tables have longer sides than others, we can't always seat them right away. But it would never be because we didn't want "attention" drawn to the person. How rude. :(

I'm not a big seafood eater so I'd pick Olive Garden. I've only eaten there once and it was good.

Red Lobster. Unfortunately, they closed the only one anywhere close to me so I never get to go unless we are on vacation :( .

Olive Garden - love the salad, minestrone, & tiramisu!

(Besides, I don't eat fish.)

How about Bahama Breeze? Darden owns them, too. And they are HQ'd in Orlando.

But it depends on what you want to eat, I decide where after I figure out what.

    That is unbelievably insensitive and ignorant and makes no sense whatsoever. Sheesh, I'd have gotten that hostess's name and written a letter to the management after the steam stopped coming out of my ears!!
Can't blame you for not going back, but that person needed to be set straight by someone at some point!!

Now that I've sputtered I have to say that I got food poisoning at our local Red Lobster (right next door to Olive Garden, BTW) after a shrimp dinner.......never went back...it closed some time later and reopened as a Chili's which we like. There are better seafood restaurants around here than Red Lobster...and actually there are better Italian (locally owned, non-chains) places than the OG........but we do like their salad and breadsticks once in awhile!

Bahama Breeze is wonderful and I would gladly eat there any time. :) Here is a new restaurant being tried by Darden: http://www.seasons52.com/ It looks interesting.

Out of the two choices, I love seafood but don't care much for Red Lobster. I guess that I'd have to go with the Olive Garden.

Red Lobster! I love their coconut shrimp and cheese biscuits. The shrimp is batter fried with coconut and comes with a coconut, pineapple dipping sauce. YUM I order it every time we go.

Seasons 52 looks great! I wonder if they will come all the way out here...............

Out of the two choices I say Olive Garden and just like others have said, for the salad and breadsticks.

I don't mind Red Lobster, but only go when I have a craving for the cheese biscuits since I have a favorite sea food place near my work.
