So TravelZoo had a deal where you can stay at the Red Lion for $79 dollars a night, verses the regular $109 a night. We also get free breakfast parking and wifi. Has anyone ever stayed here? What are you thoughts? What did you not like? And How is walking to Disneyland?

Just stayed there, not last weekend but the weekend before so almost 2 weeks ago now. It was fine, the room was slightly small, the light in the shower didn't work (made it hard to shave your legs LOL) and there was no fan in the bathroom, which made it steamy and difficult to get ready. We enjoyed the free breakfast 3 times, it was well done and one of the better breakfasts you can get, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, syrup, oatmeal, other cereals, milk, fruit, breads and bagels for toasting, jams and butter, apple and orange juice and they would bring you coffee if you asked for it, oh and they had tea as well. What you get is actually 2 free breakfasts per room and kids under 9 are free. Parking was easy, we parked and then the car sat until we left. Too far to walk to and from the parks but the Toy Story lot is right next door and you can walk to the lot and catch a shuttle to the parks, and then you can catch a shuttle to get back as well. We did that each day and it worked perfectly, it wasn't a problem at all. In fact, many people from surrounding hotels did the same thing. I actually asked the CM working at the booth if that was allowed (I have a PAP so free parking, when DD16 and I went in July I asked) and they said it was absolutely fine to do this.

Cool! Thanks so much. I am beyond excited, I wish it would hurry up and get here already haha. How were the pool facilities, Disneyland closes at 8 while were there, would it be worth spending time at?

We didn't use the pool but the rest of the family did and they liked it.
It was OK but not someplace we would pick personally, we stayed there because DBF's Mom paid for it and we all stayed there, all 11 of us.....lol

Would you please review your stay when you return?
We are booked there in December.

Thank you!

Yep, I sure will. Yeah I'm a college student and that's all I can afford and we picked it out because of the deal on TravelZoo.

Ok, just checked out of the Red Lion in Anaheim. Overall it was a nice stay. The room was pretty nice. The only thing wrong with it, was that the lock on the door was broken, and the the air conditioner wouldn't stay on. It constantly turned on and off. Other than that the room was fine. The lobby is very nice and when you walk into it theres a small gift shop and a nice little sitting area. The breakfast was great. There were eggs, breakfast potatoes, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal, and cereal. The only thing that bothered me was the breakfast staff. They took forever to ask us what our room number was to charge our room everyday at breakfast. And then when they would bring the bill they would act like they deserved a tip, they didn't do anything for me to give them my money. As far as the distance to the parks, i would say its about three blocks. Im sure children could make it, you just have to watch out for cars and the creepy homeless people that hangout near DL. The rest of the experience was enjoyable and I would stay there again.

We had the same feeling, that they wanted a tip for not bringing us anything. We did have people in our group that had coffee every morning and they did bring that so we gave them a couple bucks for that, otherwise we didn't tip over that.

We stayed there last year and will stay again when we go in February. Of course, I'm looking for value and a clean place to stay and although it's not The Four Seasons, it's pretty darn decent.

We'll be there next month. I thought walking to the Toy Story parking lot and taking the parking shuttle was the way to go?
