My sister in law is looking for a hat pan to make a red hat society cake for her and her friends. Any suggestions where she can find a cake pan shaped like a hat????

thanks everyone!

:stir: She could use two separate pans one very large round pan for the brim a bit thinner, and a smaller round pan thicker for the crown. Once baked you can assemble the two to make a hat and use red frosting with maybe purple trim for ribbons, even maybe some flowers. I think using her imagination would make it even more special instead of just a preformed pan. :thumbsup2

I have the 3-d ball shaped pan and it's actually 2 1/2's that you put together to make the ball. What I'd do is make one box of cake mix. Pour 1/2 in 1/2 of the ball pan and the other in an 8 or 9 in. round pan. Then put the half round pan on top of the round cake and frost it red. Trim in purple and it will be perfect! I got the ball pan at Michaels. It's $10, but with the 40% off coupon, only $6. I'm sure she already has a roudn cake pan.

thanks very much! great idea. i will tell her. i'm sure between the two of us we can put it together.
