You know who you are. You grew up hearing stuff and seeing stuff and vowed that you would never say that to your child or do that like "mom or dad used to."

Here's one.

You better eat what's on your plate, people are starving in ....... (whatever country was thought of at that moment.

I stopped saying and doing that. Lost 15lbs too

What do you find yourself saying or doing?

I tell my son all the time (tonight in fact) that some children are actually starving. Although, I don't remember if I ever vowed not to say it.

One thing that I said I would never say/do is use the abbreviation DH, DS etc. I hate it and I still do, but I do use it.

That's mine. I swore I would never say it, I mean what kind of reasoning is that?? But sometimes I get so tired of arguing and explaining I hear myself saying it. Now I know the reasoning.
