Im looking for recs for shoes to wear in the parks. I have looked a few teva and some seem great. Just want to see what others have experienced. I will be 31 weeks pregnant for the trip so good shoes are a must!

If you're into wearing sneakers/tennies/trainers/etc. that might be a good option. It would probably help with the swelling too. I like Ryka, b/c they're made specifically for women. I also like Ecco brand shoes of any cute style. Very light and well made for comfort.

Skechers mary janes are good too b/c they're open and the strap adjusts. I found them to be very comfortable, but I couldn't wear them every day. Not sure if it was just me though.

Depending on how much you want to spend, you can look at Dansko shoes. I love love love mine. It's either a love or not thing with Dansko's though, I think.

Some people love Keens, but I didn't find them to be good for me. Same with Tevas.

Regardless of what you choose, make sure you break them in well before you go. Also, try to get some Body Glide or some type of thing like that (I know there are other anti-chafing sticks out there). I rub it over my toes and around the back and sides of my feet where the shoes could tend to rub. Then I put on my socks and it is another layer of protection.

Enjoy your trip. At the end of the day, fill the tub with cold water (maybe get some ice from the machine too) and just soak your feet for awhile. Takes the swelling down and cools you off too.

Best Wishes!

Crocs or Frocs (fake crocs) are what I wear.

I usually wear them with a good pair of socks (with wicking). You can always take off the socks if they get wet.

Okabashi's!!!! I have recommended these to so many people who now tell me they are ALL they will wear anymore. They are SOOOO comfortable, and cheap.

My DW swears by Reebok's. That's all she'll wear as far as tennis/athletic shoes go(BTW she teaches walking classes, so she needs shoes that are comfortable to walk in). I always got whatever was cheapest untill she made me buy a pair of Reebok's and now I won't buy anything else. As DW says(and from experience I know it's true) if your shoes aren't comfortable the first time you try them on...don't get them, there shouldn't be a "breaking in" period if they are good shoes.

I just got back from New Orleans and we walked all day every day. I wore my Ryka running shoes and my feet never felt tired or sore the whole trip. And they breathe well also, as it was very hot and humid and I had no trouble with sweaty feet or blisters. Highly recommend!:thumbsup2

I have Teva Westwaters- They are a maryjane type. I got them because they are super comfy, airy, and will dry fast if we are out in the rain. Though I have not worn them in the parks, I have worn them in all instances at home that I use sneaker- walking, jogging. They are just as comfy

i have used teva mush in the past, and they're awesome. brand new, out of the box and no sore feet or blisters for a whole week in the world.
