Recruiter?

I see a lot of people mention their recruiter...how do you get one? Is that someone you get after you apply/are interviewed? Or do you need a recruiter to get an interview?? I'm lost on how a recruiter comes into play.

I got an email after my interview, 3 days after to be exact, from my recruiter. Before that I hasn't had one and I also had done the E-Presentation.

Well, there's up to three people who may identify themselves as your recruiter. For the exception of the campus recruiters, all of them come into play at later times in the game. In order to interview, all you need to do is submit an application online, watch the E-Presentation and schedule an interview by calling the contact center 1-800-722-2930.

Recruiter - Conducts on campus presentations, may interview program candidates in-person at host schools. Candidates who participate in the E-Presentation do not necessarily have a campus recruiter.

Interview Partner (Interview Recruiter) - Interviews candidates over the phone.

Support Recruiter - Coordinates most other recruiting aspects for candidates/participants after they have interviewed. If you are accepted, the recruiter listed on your acceptance letter is your support recruiter and is able to further assist with questions and any challenges. A lot of people would consider this person to be the 'final' recruiter.
