Not water sports, golf, etc - DL's recreation is call Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure.

It's a lot smaller than WDW, there just isn't the room for it. That's part of the reason you don't need to spend as many days there.

The good news is that while DL doesn't have that stuff, it is Southern California - there are beautiful beaches, golf courses, etc. within an easy drive.

I WISH we had something like that here!
But we do have a nice theater and between the shopping, dinner or lunch and a movie, you can spend at least half a day in DTD.
