There's really no need to attack someone on an internet message board
Or call them names when you think that you might have been slighted, but cant really be sure.

Again...I'm not certain what makes your people more believable than my people.
As neither of us seem to have been there...this is all conjecture and you know what they say about opinions....right?
That is what I thought too. I'm totally offended. I love kool-aid. It should be about freedom of choice - we can drink whatever we want without feeling intimidated by these internet posts.
PS - Grape is my favorite too!
There isn't "my people". I am telling you what the Universal boards are saying to add context. That's not a disagreement with what your accounts say, it is a statement that the general experience doesn't seem that bad. I am a Disney and Universal AP holder. This isn't "us vs. them" to me as it appears to be for some of our other friends on here. All I want to do is have a balanced discussion.
Once again, I realize we're "playing dumb" about what she said, but she hasn't said that it wasn't meant in the way I took it. All I wanted was for her to articulate the reasons for her saying that to me and why she thought that. This doesn't have to be a huge hateful fight. Let's be human beings here. The gang mentality in this area is shocking.
You guys are really going to hold a grudge about that, aren't you? I understand that you don't like that I was upset by something one of your friends posted to me. If SHE can honestly tell me she didn't mean it that way, I'll believe it. I made it clear that I was just frustrated that the first hint of saying anything uncritical of Universal, I'm labeled a Kool Aid drinker. If she meant it another way, I'll take her at her word and that will be it. Why can't we just leave it at that? There's really no need to attack someone on an internet message board because they feel that a friend of your's has taken an unwarranted shot at them.
I complain when it's 73 degrees inside the house. I wouldn't use myself as the threshold for when to complain.
I read every post in the Universal zone on this forum daily and go to another forum focusing on Universal to read their updates as well and heard NOTHING about the first scenario you are talking about. Not a word. I heard plenty about the onsite hotel mishap, which would be infuriating. It's hard to change staffing by two hours in one day, wouldn't you think? Why would guests of just three hotels need to be in the park three hours by themselves? On the surface, that doesn't make sense. Clearly, there is a problem with the lines of communication there. I doubt there was ever any plan to staff it that way.
I think you guys are going to get people who have a negative experience contact you before anyone because they heard your podcast and feel that you want to hear it for some reason. Not to say that I've heard only positives, but it's not the unmitigated disaster that maybe the things you've heard might suggest. The bulk of the hundreds of accounts I've read seem to point to things going about as smoothly as you'd expect by now.
So...about the podcast...what is everyone hoping to hear this week?![]()
Cool!![]()
Now I'm offended! I am NOT a guy!
Good luck, Lou. You need it.![]()
I know, right? Good lord....TMcDwyer said:So...about the podcast...what is everyone hoping to hear this week?![]()
Don't go on opening day then. Nobody was forced into standing in a line. It's a ridiculous complaint.
All I want to do is have a balanced discussion.
I just have to ask if you think your opening volley into this conversation sets things up to have a balanced discussion?
I think if you give folks around here a chance and stay away from phrases like "spam troll" and "third grade bullies" etc....you might find that you get the balanced discussion you seek.
By the way....I'm Kevin. Nice to meet you Lou.

I guess in the way that if one person is bashing something, a response saying the complaint of that person (who none of us know and is not posting in this thread) is ridiculous and why balances it out.
