Recording character meet & greet. GoPro vs Cellphone camera

Hello,

I'm wondering if I should invest in a GoPro to record Meet and Greets. Obviously hands free recording is the biggest advantage but I can just use my cellphone to record. It might be awkward if I have one hand holding my cellphone at eye level.

I would not buy a gogro for a couple days at a theme park, no. Unless I had like endless amounts of disposable income. Even still, probably not.

I have used both in the parks. For character meets, your cellphone camera/video is far superior to a GoPro. It's really not even close. We found the GoPro to work best while on the rides or in the water.
