Reconseding pph?

Ok well I am reconseding a few things for OCT trip.
I will probley go back and forth with this for a while but I may decied to stay at Candy cane inn or somewhere that has privet shuttle. Hopefully and a park view?
I dont know yet I see so many good things about pph concerge service and think to my self ok we could spluge and go there.
But then I see some who didnt like it at all and I wonder is it only some times that the conceirg is good and do i want to risk that it wont be for me.
If i stay at CCI or another with privet shuttle then i can stay longer then i planed. seeing we will have aps.
and then I know we are going in dec-jan new years eve and have seen if you stay on site you'll guarnteed re entrince. So i may need to stay on site then and stay off site in oct jhust to save money
Any sugestions would be grate./ I can go anytime in oct as long as im there for a halloween party in dca (thursday or fridsya nights)

Unless you are buying PAP, you will be blacked out during the Christmas/NY time. You will have to buy black out tickets. I believe they are $40 per day/per person. There is no way that PP concierge is worth the money at full price. At the $169 price from last year's AP4 rates it was very worth it for our family of 4 even if we only took advantage of breakfast and a couple of glasses of wine and snacks in the evening. The concierge rate does not guarantee you a park view room, either. You might get lucky and get upgraded, but you might not.

We have stayed at the CCI in the past. I don't believe they have view rooms, but I could be wrong.

I never even knew another hotle did eacept onsite hotles.

Here is my 2 cents on concierge. Check to find out what is included in the service. If you aren't going to take advantage of what they offer because you spend a lot of time in the park, it may not be worth your money. We did the PP concierge only because it was fairly cheap and we were staying for a while and knew we would take advantage of it in the mornings and evenings. We never made it back for snacks in the afternoon, but did take drinks with us to the parks. Frankly, the afternoon snacks aren't really something to write home about. We were able to make a dinner out of the evening offerings, so it saved us from having to shell out money for dinner. Here is how our days played out. We would get ready and head down for breakfast. We would then grab drinks for the day and head out to the park. We usually spent all day at the parks and headed back around 5 for the evening offerings, including wine. We would grab our warmer clothes, head back to the lounge for coffee, hot chocolate, and chocolate dipped strawberries, then head back to the parks for the evening.

If you are only going to need breakfast, stay at a hotel that offers breakfast. If your kids are happy with pop tarts our doughnuts, just find a hotel that offers a fridge and stop at a grocery store to stock up. Concierge isn't for everyone and it may not be worth your money if your schedule doesn't work around what is being offered.

Concierge at Disney hotels is NOT concierge service as normally defined. At other hotels, it means *service*, maybe floors that you need your key to access, probably a lounge with appetizers and drinks at some point. At Disney hotels it means FOOD in a lounge. Not service.

Everyone staying at a Disney hotel has access to their Vacation Planning people, and they provide what a concierge might do at a normal hotel.

Honestly, with just you, your boyfriend, and your son...unless you're there all the time snagging the food, I can't see how concierge is worth it. We have the same number, and there is NO way I could ever eat as much food as the extra cost is, unless I stayed in the lounge all day. Now, should we have more babies and we're a family of 5 or more, then I could see eating that much food once they are older.

On the other hand, I hear PP concierge is heavy on the Uncrustables, and those aren't allowed in our house b/c of some ingredients DS and DH can't eat.

And I don't know about guaranteed re-entry. I mean, if the parks are FULL, the parks are full, and while you might have priority over others to re-enter, you'd still have to wait for people to leave, or the fire department would have their hide for over-packing the park.

ok well the way it would work for us is the drinks alone. I have been doing math this morrning and it seems about 200 in food a day with the drinks and food and we do afternoon brakes becouse of my bad legs now. I didnt need a electric wheel chair last time and im hoping i wont need it this next time eather.

I would take advantage of the wine and apatizers before going back to the park. my son omg he would love pb.j's he hasnt had uncrustbules but lives on pb.j at home.

here is what would happin. morrning up go down get brekfest and drinsk go back to room and wait till we want to go to park. ( i may be willing to not need to go an hour befor ee opens becouse thats a lot of standing.
Then when going to park would stop and get drinks for the day and maybe another bagle or something.

we would go back in afternoon grab drinks snakes and head to room for brake. Im betting the drinks will be used a bunch I needed water like 6 times in one day and all we had was tap water with ice. I didnt drink nearly as many sodas as i thought i would even when waisting my voucher on drinks the kid and dh would get other stuff and i chose water lol

Then i would drink the wine probley each night before going back to the park.

between HOJO cci and pph i have just done a search on HOJO on there site no special rates and its only saving 300, witch i would use in food and drinks in one day maybe two.

So I think were going to pph lol choclet dipped strawburrys, mickey dipped rice crespy treat first night of turndown service, and then shrimp or teriokie chicken..wow those sound good to me.

Is the chocklet dipped mickey mouse rice crispy treat a guarnte the first night when turndown service.(this i read about in some search i did ive done pph ap rates and pph concearge(sp right) and man alot ppl have talked about it

Sounds like you would use the food then. Then it works for you!

One little thing...HoJo gives 20% off for AP holders. Call and ask, or use, I think, LNAP as a code on their site. And if you have the Entertainment Book, there are some times where a $59 rate is available.

hum they do hum well thats good to rember ty. my fionce is lookign at me like im insain he says just go with pph concerge we wont know if we dont like it if we dont try. and at least this will be cheaper with the gay day rates or the ap rates (witch ever one has better) and heck he says if its like 189 for concerge and view just book it lol

but hojo had nice pics he was like wow they had a good view so he was willing to let me go back and forth lol
but i think with all the extra things from pph and stuff, choclate straburrys/choclate micky rice crispy treats. a slide my son could play on/the view from the pool and piped in music for the times were not in the park at night..well all these small things do add up, and maybe useing the monrail to get in would be better then walking from habor to dl entrince,

We have stayed PP concierge twice and have gotten the chocolate dipped Mickey Rice Krispy treats both times on the first night.

Where are you getting $189 rates for PP concierge? The AP5 rates don't have any discounts other than the regular AP discount on concierge. There is no guarantee if they are going to repeat the concierge rates in the fall.

We requested them for birthdays and they were free.

I also want to remind you that there are taxes on the room and a $10 per day resort fee, so figure on paying roughly another $30ish per night for your room beyond the quoted price if you are staying at one of the DL properties.

I just did some hunting around. The 2008 Gay Day rates start at $179 for PP, $189 for DLH, and $229 for CG. Those are just for basic rooms. If you are going for a view room or concierge, I'm guessing they are going to be at least $20 more for a view and even more than that for concierge. It said that they sold out last year, so you may want to book now. I believe it also said that those rates were only good for October 1-10.

well im going to call soon and ill ask them a bunch of questions who do i call, the hotle them selfs? or disney its self. is there a 1800 number

had to make two resvations seeing the 10th is the last nigth gay day rates.
I got the last view room with concerage 2 queens, and day bed acording to the guy (jeff) he was relly nice, even had to have me on hold so long he took my number and called back so nice
all together taxs and all im looking at 2000+ but we may find a better rate in time or we will just go here, my fionce keeps saying its fine and not to just excpect to use my money he will start saving money the secound he gets one these 4 jobs hes waiting on lol

It is worth it to keep checking. The AP fall rates came out in July last year. There is no way, IMO, that concierge is worth $200 in food and drinks. The three of you can eat every single day at BB for lunch for $100 a day!

its 100 a night extra then regular rooms. I have added up how much water and soda was in the park x3 each of us each time we would go in. pluse the food and wine and snakes. I am praying to get a better rate in july. ty much i just saw this in another post that it comes then so i booked now and pray i can get it less even if have to change my days since there flexbule.

and the only thing i want at bb is 35 dollers and then the desert. so i think i decied in stead of eatting at bb were'll do fantasmic dessert and a desert in bb water side, just to do it and get the filling of it
