Hey everyone,

Well I've seen so many posts lately about everyone falling off the wagon (both food and exercise), not having motiviation, not being able to redo what worked before etc.

What worked for me originally that really made exercise possible was the Comittment Thread we had last year. We've started it a few times this year but for some reason we don't seem to keep it going.

So, for all those that need a jump start and some motivation please come post. It can be for one commitment or a list of things you want to commit to. Remember to take everything one day at a time.

My Commitment's for the rest of the week:

1. Stay OP the entire weekend.
2. Exercise each day till Sunday

I can do this................who's next.

I jump-started again last week. Here's my step one goal:

Record everything I eat Monday to Friday.

It amazes me that I did not realize how far I had fallen and how much I was eating.

My commitment is to stick to South Beach Phase 2 now that Phase 1 is over and not just languish in the joy of my 11 lbs lost so far. I look better already and feel better and so often when I have dieted before I start to feel so good after the initial loss that I just get complacent and quit watching what I eat and making sure I exercise... so I gain it all back. :guilty:
1. Commit to South Beach Phase 2 :flower:
2. Increase my jogging time - exercise 6 days a week. :flower:

Ok, I exercised last night. I did the upper body portion of FIRM-Super Body Sculpt.
I've been OP all day!
My test will be tomorrow as I am at an offsite Staff meeting. I have no idea what will be served there. I can do it, I know I can!

melanie -- thanks for restarting our committment thread! i think it's powerful too -- if I utilize it which i think i'm ready to do

my committment is to journal and stay OP totally this weekend!!

let us know how you do today -- we're looking for your results :) i know you'll make great choices Mel, you are so dedicated when you put your mind to it!

MelC -
I am here AGAIN to say I need to have a place of accountability - thanks for the thread :goodvibes

I'm going to be OP for the weekend
already did my exercise today and tomorrow is rest day

Hey - it's great seeing everyone again! I think this commitment thread might be just what this fallen WISHER needs! I promise to get out and do a 5 mile walk tomorrow. I will stick to program most days this week and although I plan to enjoy our annual company barbecue next Friday, I will not go crazy with the unhealthy snacks that we always have before the delicious meal.
Thanks for starting the thread Melanie! Your posts are always so encouraging. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

I need this so bad.

I'm starting my WW journaling up again Tuesday. I will monitor what I eat this weekend and Monday and watch portion sizes and what not.

This coming week I will
1. get some form of exercise even if just a short walk.
2.Journal and stay ON PLAN all week.

Good Sunday afternoon everyone!
Went out and walked 5.5 miles today. It isn't as easy as it was at this time last year, but I'll get there. ;)

Help! I'm a recent member of WISH and have already fallen off the wagon! I lost 3 lbs. right away and then I let it all go down the toilet. Have put 2 1/2 lbs. back on. I guess I need to accept that it's not just going to happen on it's own. So I'm recommitting to eliminating gratuitous sugar and daily exercise. Those are the two biggies for me. And I'll work on eating healthier food.

Mel-Thanks for getting the thread going again. Boy, I need it more than ever now. I just can't seem to get it going for long at a time.

My commitment is to journal everyday this week. I will be doing laps in the pool everyday this week to total 30 minutes and I will be on the TM in the morning for at least 15 minutes.

I will be back in the morning to be accountable for how I did today. Thanks again!

Here's PD for everyone that is getting back into a routine.

because we have a family wedding this weekend and I have not been good at all !

I did lousy on the weekend, so today I am doing better and surely I can be good till Saturday :teeth:

I will be up an at 'em tomorrow to exercise cause I am meeting friends for dinner at of all places - Panera. I love it there and certainly not WW friendly!
I plan to save some points and just remember that I can splurge this weekend - I don't think P serves wine - so that will help at least.

My committment is to exercise and eat healthy and drink H20.

Next week you will see that my committment will be changing to some serious, kick-butt, go after losing some pounds :rotfl: and I will be needing all my WISH buddies to get me into the "groove" for doing that, too!

Hey everyone,

Its so good to see you all posting!!!

I lost 2 pounds at WW WI last night!

I did great at my meeting on Friday and my training yesterday. I had saved all my flex points for use at my meeting and the weekend so I even had a piece of cheesecake on Friday at the staff meeting, pad Thai at my anniversary dinner on Saturday at the Cheesecake factory. Its nice to know you can splurge sometimes and still stay OP and loose!! It feels really good.

I have an MRI on my right foot tomorrow. I haven't really done much exercise since Memorial day weekend when it started hurting again after I played volleyball. Its been 2 months since I hurt it at the 1/2 marathon in OC MD. I'm really hoping they figure out what is wrong so I can get better and start exercising consistantly again. I feel like I'm going to have to start from scratch again.

Today is going well. My goal this week is to save my flex points for the weekend. We are going to the Drive-in on Saturday and I want to splurge a little and have pizza and popcorn.

I hope everyone is having a good week.

mel -- congrats on being 2 more lbs down! keep us updated on your MRI

i didn't do so well on the weekend either -- i had thoughts of this thread but the push wasn't there i guess. now it's more shameful b/c i remember how awesome it feels to post success

today i'm back on journaling thru friday evening when i have an outing planned. i didn't exercise this morning due to very early a.m. orthodontist appt for DD -- but i'm trying to stay motivated to do my strength training routine in an hour or so before dinner; so far today i'm at 10 pts, my usual for breakfast and lunch

tammy -- glad to see you here and PD for your exercise commitment!

cbrfan - hang in there -- remember the sweet taste of success -- you can do it!

NancyK -- great job on the afternoon walk! that's gotta feel great! cyber high five for sticking to your commitment!

melissa - you and I are struggling on the same level! journaling especially those weekends!! how did you do this past one?? i have a wedding (same as AEG) on sat but Sunday i plan to be back OP and i'll just take it week by week. remember those days when journaling was just what we did and didn't think about it. taking a day off was a big deal and not the norm?? the good ole days........

AEG -- ok mom, countdown to wedding day, i know neither of us will go at the weight we set to, ummm like 6 months ago. but that is in the past. we'll have a good time and take it one day at a time next week until the old groove is the new groove again

Woohoo I was down a lb from last week without doing much and I'm on TOM so I was shocked. However today is my start weight for my first mini-goal(summer challenge part 2) of 25 lbs so that lb doesn't count.

Nancy,
Way to go on the walk.

OhMom,
I wrote it down but did not calculate my final points. Today I have wrote some calculated some but need to finish. I know tomorrow will be better day. Today we had frozen pizza. I had 3 small pieces.
I'm sure the exercise of doing all this moving we are doing is helping a little. I really hope by end of summer I can fit back in my pre-pregnancy jeans(yes from nearly 2 years I still have not lost my pregnancy weight :( ) and pants again. :cloud9:

Good morning all,

Yesterday was a good OP day. I even had 5 points left to make my target points after eating dinner. I wasn't even all that hungry but after a trip to get the kids new sneakers for our Vegas/Disney trips I decided it would be better to eat them than to starve my body of calories. I really believe that eating too little causes a slow in the metabolism. So I had a nice plate of lowfat cheese and whole wheat crackers. For some reason I felt guilty eating them even though it was totally OP. I probably didn't have to eat all of my 5 points because I actually eat 2 points above where I should be anyway.

I eat 22 instead of 20 target points per day. I refused to go down to 20 and it works!

I forgot my lunch today (still sitting in the fridge-uggh) so I have to find a low points alternative. I will be good today.

No exercise again........sigh! I'm definately turning into a lazy bum. Maybe tomorrow night I'll do some upper body. At least it keeps my muscles working.

Zoesmama- Woo hoo on the loss! :cool1: Keep up the great work and you'll be back into those jeans in no time.

Molli- You are so right, those feelings of remembering how posting about success is very powerful. I know you'll get into the groove and be able to post your success this week.

AEG- I hope you had a nice dinner at Panera and that you were able to make semi decent WW choices. Eating out can sometimes be difficult!

Tammy- I hope your swims are going well. Drop by and let us know how your doing!!!

CBRfan- I hope your doing well this morning. Stop by and check in with us. You can do this!

Nancy- Sounds like you had a nice walk.

Keep up the great work everyone. Remember, one day at a time.

melissa - WTG on the loss. your semi-journaling shows effort to getting your thinking back on plan -- hang in there -- we'll get there

yesterday I did journal and stayed in pts. whew. was that only one day?? LOL

I did the TM the other morning for 15 minutes and haven't been back on there. I have continued to exercise in the pool during pool breaks for the kids. I have been watching what I'm eating and I'm happy to report that I am down 2.8 pounds.

I leave for Scout camp with Casey on Sunday. I don't expect to gain with all the walking that we will be doing, but I expect to come back bloated from the heat. I am taking plenty of water and my fruits. They let us choose a salad for lunch if we want and they are really fresh and good. I'm also taking my own salad dressing. I think that I'll be OK while we are gone. We will be coming back on Thursday. The only downer is it is suppose to be 92 degrees Sunday and that is really hot to be setting up tents. We will be ready to get in that pool for the swim test.

Keep up the great work everyone!!!

Hi everyone,

Well tonight I did a 25 minute Core Secrets Stability ball tape and the upper body portion of the FIRM Jiggle Free arms.

My arms feel so good right now and they were aching to lift, lol!!! I just love how I feel afterwards. Now if I could only walk/run on the TM I'd be a happy camper. I had my MRI last night and they said 72 hours for them to be read. With the weekend I'm not sure when that will be so maybe Mon or Tuesday. I hope they show something since they only did the ankle.

Staying OP is going well. I had Pad Thai for lunch yeserday, but I was still OP. I still have about 5 points left for tonight, plus maybe 1 from exercise although it wasn't cardio. I was sweating after lifting weights though. Tomorrow night we are going to the Drive-In's to see Herbie Fully loaded and Madagascar. We are having Scillian pizza and I've saved enough flex points to have eat well tomorrow. I'll probably take some airpopped popcorn with me or figure out another snack to take for during the movies. I'm also bringing along water.

Also, my scale was down to 135.4 after work today so its moving......YEAH! My weight has actually moved more in the last two weeks after eating more "indulgant" foods like cheese cake and Pad Thai. Go figure!! I'll take it anyway I can. I'm expecting to maintain or gain a bit when I go to Vegas over the 4th so I want it as low as it will go before going.

Tammy- Have fun this weekend at Camp. Its going to be hot here too. Stay cool and I know you will do well with your eating.

Molli- I hear you about sometimes thinking was that only one day when your trying to get back on track. The first few days are so hard. How did you do yesterday and today??? I know you can do it!
