Okay....I have been looking into many of the resorts on and off Disney property and I am still not any further ahead. We are honeymooning so we would like something somewhat romantic and that does not have a whole lot of children around, geared more toward adults. We are not rich so I was thinking more in the Moderate Value area, or any type of place outside of Disney. Any kind of information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. We will be going early to mid February....don't know if that makes any difference. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!

I know you are looking for a moderate hotel but if for some reason you can bump it up to a deluxe i know the yacht club seems to have less children than other resorts. I know for our one year anniversary we plan on staying there.

I'm not a 100% sure on the moderate but the little bit i have read about them i would think the coronado springs may be better for a honeymoon. but i would be curious to hear what others think about that.

sorry i wasnt more help! have a great honeymoon!

POR is very romantic!!!! Some of the things you can enjoy at POR:
Georgeous grounds
Quiet walk by the river
Carriage ride on a path next to the river
Boat to downtown disney

Seriously consider renting points from a DVC owner. You can rent for $10-12 per point and the deluxe resorts run about 12-14 points for weekdays (Sun-Thurs) and double that for Fri-Sat. You get to stay at Deluxe resorts in studio not hotel accommodations for the price of a moderate hotel room. Take a look at the DVC resorts VWL, BCV, BWV, OKW, SSR, and AKL and pick the one that you like best. Then post on the rent / trade board right here on the Disboards and a DVC owner can book it for you. I love the VWL but each resort has its own Deluxe charm. Good Luck and Congratulations!!!

If you want to stay at a moderate, I would recommend POFQ. It is the smallest of the moderate resorts, and has a more intimate feel. All of the wrought iron gives it a romantic touch too. Plus, I would think a stroll along the canal by moonlight would be very romantic.
