We have a Nikon dslr which we always take for pics. We once took our JVC everio to record ( i think this was on our first trip only). I still have the JVC but do not use it due to just recording or taking pics on our phones or Nikon. Last year we purchased PP+ and we didn't end up using our nikon that much.

This time we are going in December and our package booked through Costco includes PP which we will be using. We are taking our Goddaughter and it will be her first time there and I would like to record her reactions. I could use our nikon an just buy a bigger SD card.

What is a good video recorder that is not too big and has great quality. Something our DD 9 could use also would be great.

What do you guys use or recommend?

I used to be big on taking my DSLR until my DDs got the most recent iphones. Honestly I can't believe what good pictures and video they take. I've totally quit taking a dedicated camera because the iphones are so small, easy to use, and easy to deal with. There are a number of people who've taken pretty "artsy" video at the parks, and when I've asked them what they shot them with it's almost always an iphone. Go figure.

Yes I always take my pics with my iphone. But videos on my ipone seem to take up too much space and I am already using up a lot of the space available.
I was thinking of a go pro but some of the video quality inst that great from what i have seen.

Try a Panasonic Lumix S70, has 700 mm tele, takes excellent photos and takes 4K video's. Gave up on my sony MSLR
