I've decided to take up scrapbooking this year but would like to do it online/via a computer rather than the standard physical book.
Does anyone have recommedations on good software programs or online sites to use?

TIA!

Note: I currently have a laptop running Windows XP...

Excellent question!! I am wondering the same thing myself.

Any digital scrappers out there????

Personally, I use Photoshop Elements. It probably isn't the simplest to learn but I've always used it for pics and digital scrapbooking.

I decided for our next trip to DLR I am going to make slide show out of the pictures set to Disney music.

I use microsoft movie maker to combine images and video clips and set it to music for each of our Disney trips. You can add intro's, image transitions, special effects. It's pretty easy to use.

Oops, thought the person meant digitally scrapbooking still photos. I missed the video part in the title. :confused3

Actually, I did mean digitally scrapbooking still photos. Thanks for the suggestions!

I was looking at MSFT Movie Maker last night since it is installed on my computer. Was just wondering if there was anything better/fancier, but not necessarily more complicated.

Creative memories makes a good one. You can also D/L a version for free. My DW loves CM, but she is not into the digital stuff so much. If you want the ABSOLUTE best, you gotta switch to an Apple and get iLife.

I've been digitally scrapbooking for years. I use Photoshop Elements. The Scrapbooking board here is a great resource. I'd also be happy to answer any questions.

If you're just wanting to create books for each vacation, Shutterfly has several pre-made albums where you just plop your photos onto the page, add your journaling and print. My sister uses Shutterfly (even though she has PSE) because it's so easy. Just another option if you don't want to get into the whole digi-scrapping thing. It's addictive!
