Hello Disboards!

We are going on the Mexican Riviera cruise on Oct 15th out of the Port of San Diego. We are looking at spending just a couple days at DL prior to the cruise. What are your recommendations for transportation to the port? I am most interested in options that involve someone else driving and not costing us an arm and a leg! Important detail is that my Mom cannot walk a super long distance, so minimal walking is ideal.... I would love your input. Thank you! ^_^

Well, that pretty much leave the train option. There's a shuttle that goes from the Disneyland area to the train station in Anaheim. Train station in San Diego is about 3 blocks from port, you could catch a taxi to go that 3 blocks, if you wish.

I don't know about private transportation options (town car, super shuttle, that sort of thing).

Thank you for your kind reply! :) I had heard there was a train, but didn't realize there was a shuttle to the train depot. Awesome! Have you ridden it before? I am wondering how easy it is to load the luggage on and off the train...?

Take Amtrak-spring for Business Class.

The threshold onto the train car is level with the platform. It's pretty easy to roll bags on. And the luggage storage is right by the door.

There are also handicapped designated seats on the lower lever, near the door. I haven't taken the shuttle to the train station, so I can't tell you where it is.
