Hi,

I'm a newbie on this board (have been on DLP a little bit).

We are looking at organising our own trip to WDW Florida for 2011 and wondered if anyone could recommend a good website for villa rentals.

When we went in 2006 we used a travel agent who did it all separately for us, but we stayed in a hotel and don't want to do that this time, as we will have a 3 year old in tow and would rather have the villa option instead.

Had planned on just organising it all ourselves instead to try and keep the cost down, so we have more to spend in WDW :yay:

Hope someone can help.

By all means look into a Villa but for 2 adults and a 3 year old I would expect the cost to be high compared to a hotel if you are trying to keep the costs down.
If free Dining is on for your dates you could look into a studio at OKW or SSR, larger than an average hotel room(but nothing like a villa), this year it costs £100/night but includes all your food.
If you are set on a villa someone will post some links, I think there was a thread a few days ago with some in.

Having usually been to Florida in a group and stayed in a villa, the last time we went (2006) it was just me and the other half and we stayed in a motel (Howard Johnson on the 192) as we'd assumed it would be much more costly to stay in a villa. It was just over £800 each for the flight, villa and economy car hire (and got a free upgrade). We are going again in 5 weeks and we've got a villa, flight and intermediate car hire for about £820. It is a 3 bed with pool allocation on arrival granted but we did some homework on possible locations (off 192 or I27) before booking and we were happy with it. We usually book everything ourselves but we went into some travel agents, Going Places came up with the best deal and they did it through their subsidiary flexibletrips.com. Went home to think about it, did the homework, got onto that site ourselves and it came up cheaper. Printed everything off, went back in and got them to match it.... and they did!! So you can get a villa holiday for a reasonable price and it will be much better than a motel room which to be honest didn't feel as though we could relax and spread out as much as we will in a home from home. When we went to Florida in a group we used floridasunhomes.co.uk Poinciana Boulevard off the 192, bout 20 mins from Disney) and had no problems whatsoever. I'd recommend them.
