Hi all. I'm going to Disneyland Paris next month for a day. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations... where to eat, attractions that are a must, etc. This will be my first time visiting the park. Thanks! :thumbsup2

I wish I could answer you, but I'm in the same boat! My BF and I are doing one day during our Paris trip, and it hasn't been too easy to find answers to this.

The only thing I heard from numerous sources is to get to Crush's coaster as early as possible.

Pirates and Space Mountain are totally different and totally awesome. We only got to see 1 of the 2 parks when we were there so you're going to have trouble seeing it all.

One day is great, even if crowds tend to be more than moderate. Use fast-pass!

Be there for rope drop, get a FP for Big Thunder Mountain and then get in the standby-line.

Space Mountain ist INTENSE!
Lines for this ride are shorter later in the day.

the Indiana-Jones coaster is very boring. It is like rolling around with an office-chair. Some years ago it was backwards and still boring. :confused3

At ToT in the Studios, the ride-audio is French, but they also have English-audio, just ask!

Get a FP for the RocknRoller-Coaster. The line moves rather slow..

Food is expensive!!

Try to get a FP for Crush! Lines can get loooong and moves very slow.

Be prepared that the castle in Disneyland Paris is............ugly!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am looking forward to the Crush ride. Sounds like it will be fun!

Hi

At Crush coaster there is no FP. So if you want to do this you have to be at the gates of the studios before opening and the most of the people wil be running to it. Otherwise the lines are always long..
And what other attraction did you have in mind doing?

I love Disneyland Paris! I think the imagineering at Disneyland Parc is especially great - pay attention to the details - it is a very beautiful park.

Attractions at DLRP that are especially good or different from their WDW counterparts would be -

Space Mountain - this is a serious thrill ride with corkscrews and loops in the dark - way different than the WDW variety - if you like thrill coasters you might really love this one.

Discoveryland is all in a Jules Verne theme rather than Tommorrowland at WDW - I really love this French twist - very well done.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is excellent.

Phantom Manor is a bit different - with a wild west bit at the end.

I think Pirates is especially good at this park.

Make sure you see DREAMS!!

At the Studios I like Animagique, Cinemagique and again Tower of Terror is great - Crush's Coaster is unique and worth it if it is up and running.

I like the buffet restaurants for meals rather than counter service at DLRP - just better value IMO. Plaza Gardens, Agrabah at Disneyland Parc and Restaurant de Stars at the Studios are my preferred buffets.

Have a great trip!!!pixiedust:

Have a nice trip, Paris and especially Disneyland Paris is nice this time of year :)

Phantom Manor and Dreams were the highlights for us!

We found Hollywood Studios a bit disappointing but it had a few good rides. We started there and were done quickly, then headed over to the other park.

I'd recommend eating at Walt's! It's on Main Street, so if you get window seat you can watch the parade from above! The food was delicious and the rooms of the restaurant are based on the different lands.

Or Blue Lagoon! It's a restaurant connected to Pirates of the Caribbean! The ride goes through it. It's just pretty awesome.

Or if you want filling up, Agrabah Cafe! It's a buffet, the food was good, and it looks like the market in Agrabah inside.

Rides I'd recommend: Phantom Manor! Big Thunder Mountain (it's in the middle of the lake on an island!) Crush's Coaster. Cinemagique. Art of Animation. Stitch! Live. Space Mountain. Les Mysteres du Nautilus (not a ride, but still pretty cool.)

I'd also check out the arcades that run parallel to Main Street USA.

You can't go without seeing Disney Dreams. It's on at park closing and completely wonderful.

Come over to the DLRP part of this site, we are a friendly bunch who will answer my questions you have :)
