Hi all

we need to find an apartment / condo style resort in Orlando-Kissimmee, 2 beds and trying to find somewhere thats REALLY kid friendly - so looking for somewhere with great pools (slides etc) a decent playground etc..

and ideas??

We stayed at Floridays this past february. It has a few fun water features at the main pool. We stayed in a three bedroom there.

Horizons (Marriott) was real fun for all of us....loved the water park. I think the most they have are 2 bedrooms but we loved it.

I started a list of condo hotels some where on these boards. I'll try to find it.

Windsor Hills has a nice playground and a great pool with a cool slide..they also have the sprinkler things for the kids to play in (my 18 month old loved that).

ok found it....not sure which have great pools but the links are provided

Orlando Area Resort Condo Rentals
I thought that it would be nice to have a list of Orlando Area Condo Resort Rentals here on the DIS with “clickable” links to each website.

I am looking for those resorts that have nightly rates and are able to be reserved online though their own website.

If you stayed at any of these, or know of any other condo resorts, please post your information and comments/ reviews.

I will add to the list as I continue to research for our family trip.

We love Orange Lake. We are not owners but rent from www.vacationtimesharerentals.com which is much more affordable. We are getting a two bedroom two bath condo the week after xmas for 900.00. There are several pools, lazy river and slides. There is a beach area, etc. My kids 8,6, and 3 love it there. We were there 4th of July week and are going back again.

We have made reservations at Lighthouse Key Resort for March 2009.
Looks good, gets good reviews.

The key for me- the 3 bedroom unit also has 3 baths- many other places just have 2 baths. SInce we will be 5 adults this was key~

We've stayed at Cypress Pointe Grand Villas back in 2000 and it was very nice with big Jacuzzi in master bath. They also have Cypress Pointe Resort, next door, that has been recently completely renovated. Large screen tvs and granite countertops. Right down the street from DTD.
I've read disers getting great deals here thru www.hotelkingdom.com.

It could be i'm just tired - but we are going December 3-December 10, 2009 - and I can't find a good deal at Orange Lake? How did you get such a good deal, and how did you know which one out of the hundreds to pick? They dont give you prices, you have to email each individual person.

If someone has any ideas on helping me find a good rate here at Orange Lake, or anywhere else for that matter, please let me know!
THANKS!

What is the possibility of getting a rental condo, or home for under $500.00 for the entire week? 7 days - Dec 3-Dec 10th? Do you think it's possible? Or too far fetched?

I noticed that these posts are all about a year old, so the rates are probably really different now. Maybe there was a discount or deal of some sort then? You might do a new thread asking if there are any good rates at OL or other resorts now. You can also check out vrbo.com to see what individual owners are offering.

Oh, yeah, and check out the links for those properties above. I read in the UG that a rule of thumb for renting if you want to be close enough to WDW that you don't spend all your time driving is to find a place only 4 or so miles away. I've had to read entire listings of rentals to find that info and if it's not there (or they say "only mins. to Disney"), I move on.
As the guide says, I live minutes from Disney TOO! Like 720 of them!

Hope this helps!
