I am really stuck. We are going to renew our wedding vows offsite while at Disneyland. We will stay onsite and want to come back afterwards to have a meal with our two friends that will be attending the ceremony. We want to do this at one of the hotels at Disneyland as I want to order a celebration cake for our meal. Which restaurant would your recommend for the celebration dinner? I also have another question. I know that wedding attire would not be permitted at the parks, but would it be OK to go for a meal at one of the hotels in my wedding dress?

The obvious answer is the Napa Rose, it's far and above the nicest DLR has to offer.

Other wise I would say Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel. It's a little more adult than the other offerings.

I was thinking about Napa Rose, but wondered if it is a little bit to fancy for my tastes. I am quite a fuzzy eater and I don't eat fish/ sea food, lamb or game. I read things mentioned like rabbit meatloaf and there is no way I would eat that. The rest of our group are more easygoing.

Napa Rose is where my wife and I went for our anniversary and it is great. My wife has severe food allergies and as a result likes "plain" food and nothing fancy. She ended up with a chicken breast and the best tater tots known to mankind ;) We will be going again this October! I suggest getting there early and having a beer or wine at the bar. You see all kinds of dress there.

Thanks, that puts my mind at rest. I love chicken and steak. I don't mind sauces and such. It is just the more exotic stuff that I won't go near.

We love Napa Rose. It is DW's favorite. There are always beef, pork, chicken, and pasta selections to go along with the game and seafood offerings. Also, the soups/salads/appetizers usually have something for everyone. Our favorite is the signature pizzetta appetizer.

That being said, we also love Steakhouse 55. We just enjoyed a fantastic Mother's Day dinner there last weekend. You can't go wrong with either restaurant, but check the menus and see what you think. Keep in mind that NR's menu changes frequently to make the most of seasonal ingredients, so any menu you find on-line could be slightly or very different than what you'll actually have on the night of your visit, but certain items are always on the menu.

These two restaurants are really the only two on-site resort choices that fit your needs, but they are both great! Enjoy!

I might just have to send our friends for a little research trip a bit nearer the time. Alternatively, if I was to check the menu situation out on September 27th (first full day at Disneyland), what would our chances be to get an ADR for four at either of them for October 9th? Maybe that is the way to go.

Weekend nights fill up fast at NR. I would not cut it that close, unless you don't mind getting a very early or very late reservation time. At Steakhouse 55, it probably wouldn't be as big of a deal to make your ADR that close, but at NR it can be dicey. I would make an ADR at NR at least 30 days out (you can do it up to 60 days out), then cancel it if the menu is not to your liking when you check it out at the beginning of your trip.

Thanks, that makes sense. I think this is the way I will go.
