Recommendations for a contemporary hotel?

Hi, I'm looking for an offsite hotel within around a five mile radius of WDW, for a stay October 24-28. I will have a rental car. One adult, no kids. These are the features I prefer:
  • contemporary decor
  • thoroughly cleaned room and bathroom
  • pet dogs not allowed
  • free parking
  • no resort fee
  • price around $80 to $140 per night (plus tax, but no hidden fees, please)
Do any hotels come to mind, that meet these criteria?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think it's as close as you want, but look at Aloft hotel. They are pretty contemporary. :)
I was going to stay there for a Selena Gomez concert (within walking distance to venue) with my daughter and her friends but decided to just drive home afterwards. We have stayed at Aloft in other states before.

Thanks, yeah that's located a little farther out than I was looking to stay this time, but thanks anyway for the thought.

A quick search shows that prices for those dates are on the high side. I almost always stay at non-Disney hotels and I take 3-5 trips each year, so I feel like I have a decent grasp of normal prices. Some of the properties that are usually around $80-90 are much higher. (Example: The dismally-reviewed Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista is $137/night plus $25 resort fee. That same place is $89/night plus resort fee in a randomly selected date later this month.)

One question: Are you wiling to pay a resort and/or parking fee if the total is still around $140? Or, are you morally against paying those fees? It's okay if you are, but you're eliminating a lot of places in that scenario.

The other thing is that "contemporary" is a bit hard to pin down. Although I haven't stayed there, when I think contemporary in the Disney World area I'd maybe pick the Melia Orlando Suite Hotel at Celebration. It's located just a bit off Disney property. It's at the entrance to Celebration off Irlo Bronson Memorial Parkway (US 192).

According to their website, self-parking is free but they do have a $20/night resort fee. No clue about dogs...you'd have to figure that one out. They are slightly out of your price range, but not by a ton. On the plus side, you're getting a 750-square foot one-bedroom suite with a full kitchen. I know it's just you, but having extra space might still be enjoyable. Maybe you can stop at the nearby Public grocery store and buy some breakfast items. That might help make up the cost. The current pricing options:

$124.25 per night plus $20 resort fee (plus tax, no parking charge) = $144.25/night [Non-Refundable]
$131.00 per night plus $20 resort fee (plus tax, no parking charge) = $151.00/night [Free Cancelation if done 72 prior to Arrival]

For comparison, Disney's All-Star Sports Resort is $149 plus $13 for parking for those dates. As for "contemporary", I might categorize the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort that way. It's $294 plus $40 resort fee and $27 parking fee. Also, there's the Delta Hotels by Marriott Lake Buena Vista. Their price is $161 plus $15 for parking.

Melia was one of my thoughts too, but they do allow pets. I also thought about the new Hyatt Place; new, clean, contemporary, reasonable (no fees) but they do allow pets (although I didn't see any on our stays).

Agree with @writerguyfl post ......... I think it will be very difficult to meet all your requirements, particularly during a popular higher rate time. Given your issues with pets and deep cleaning, if you have a medical issue for this then I would make these my main focus.

Thanks for the above comments.

Yes.

Exactly, I'd also thought of them, and like the way their rooms look in the pictures, but I'd noticed that they are pet-friendly.

It is getting harder and harder to find a brand that doesn't allow pets. I hear you, I don't want to be in a pet hotel, but I take some solace that many of the non-Disney hotels have fine tuned this, have strict rules in place and keep guest disruption to almost nil. If you have allergies then I would think you could request deep clean prior to arrival, but you would be stuck with the room assigned.

I have even stayed at at Hilton hotel that is built around pets .... several times ... only once saw a small dog.

There are hotels out there that refuse pet dogs if that is the biggest requirement, you just might have to give up other items.

A 1BR at Sheraton Vistana Resort is $150($170 w tax) for your dates using the Dreams Unlimited discount from DISboards (go back to this forum page, the ad is almost always somewhere on the page).

Vistana has a no pets policy (except for service dogs that all properties must accept under ADA). That rate includes daily housekeeping; the ECO rate is cheaper, no housekeeping, but not available for your dates. There are no resort or parking fees at Vistana. It is just minutes from the parks (about 10 minutes to be specific). I don't know if I would call the decor "contemporary" but the furnishings are clean and modern, and the hard surfaces are very high end.

Thank you, I'd looked at them and their decor looked to me more traditional than contemporary.

Yes, it's tough to find a place that matches all my parameters. May end up having to compromise on some of them.
