My parents are coming to WDW with my family in June. The last time they joined us was 2014, and they ate mostly QS. My mom, who is an amazing cook, complained that she was very disappointed in all the food she ate that trip.

I have encouraged her to try some TS places this trip. It will really just be her and my dad, because we are doing mostly QS with our kids. I hardly know what to recommend because over the years we have focused on character meals, not really fine dining.

We have done Chefs de France in Epcot, which we loved. But what else would you recommend in MK, Epcot, or Animal Kingdom, as well as Disney Springs? I don't believe they'll be interested in going to different resorts to eat.

They are not picky eaters. Also, they don't drink so that's not a factor. They may only do one or two finer meals, but I want to be able to make a few recommendations.

Oh, also, they did eat at Be Our Guest and were not impressed...but it was for lunch back in 2014 so still QS.

Thanks for any suggestions! :thanks:

It sounds like she might only enjoy the signature restaurants. Even then, some are great and some are mediocre, IMHO. MK doesn't have a signature. Maybe try Skipper Canteen. At least the menu is interesting. If they really want a finer dining experience in the MK area, they could walk to CR and have dinner at Cali Grill. In EP, I would probably go with Le Cellier. If they are willing to walk out of EP to the resort area, I would recommend going to one of the restaurants at Swan/Dolphin. We prefer bluezoo, but Il Mulino and Shula's are also good - much better than anything you'll find in the parks, IMHO. If they like sushi, Kimono's at the Swan is very good. At DS, we like the Boathouse. At Animal Kingdom, I would recommend Tiffins.

MK - Skipper Canteen
Epcot - Spice Road Table, Via Napoli, Chefs de France
AK - Tiffin’s
HS - Brown Derby Lounge
Disney Springs - Jaleo, Boathouse, Wine Bar George

We really enjoyed Skipper Canteen (fish of the day & fried chicken) in MK & Yak & Yeti (calamari app, steak & shrimp entree, duck entree, cream cheese wonton/pineapple dessert) in AK. These were our first visits to these restaurants & the food was interesting & delicious. We also tried Hollywood & Vine for their modified dining (no longer a buffet) & i enjoyed the beef tenderloin & the pork osso bucco entrees. Hopefully they will be consistent for your parents if they choose to try it.
Morimoto Asia in DS is always great for sushi, peking duck & sticky ribs. Hollywood Brown Derby in HS is always good! Great food & wonderful service. We also love Le Cellier in Epcot.

Trattoria al Forno is really nice. On our last trip in Jan, we ate there both for dinner and breakfast. Both meals were excellent. Check out Topolino's Terrace at Riviera Resort. Or even Primo Piatto at Riviera, but it's a quick service. I'm not a fantastic cook, but I do have some nice recipes that I make. The two of us are older (our son is 28).

Two other locations might be The Wave and Grand Floridian Cafe.
