Recommendation for pocket Digital Camera....

I was using an HP Photosmart R927. However, I came back from LasVegas and the camera is now missing. I think I may have left it on my car seat one of the first days back at work and forgotten to lock the door...... not sure. I have been hunting on eBay for a 927 but have been sniped so many times in the past 2 weeks I am still camera-less.

Regardless. I am looking for a recommendation on a nice portable digital camera. Preferably with a screen size of at least 3". I have a full size Mavica CD500 so I have something I can still use, but you sure can't tuck that in a purse!!!

My only quirk is I HATE Kodak Easy Share software. I feel it forces you to use their programs, etc and I do not consider it user friendly. Consequently that kind of dumps 2 of the 3 cameras I have read that WM will have as their Black Friday specials. So recommendations other than Kodak would be preferred. I really liked the HP model because it was very user friendly, however, I can't even see on HP's website that they produce cameras anymore.

So I'm open for your thoughts and thank you in advance!!!

Canon has great little cameras that fit in a shirt pocket....I have the SD1000 and I love it....there are newer ones though.

I have been very happy with my Nikon S210. It is not a 3" screen, but the size of the camera would have been increased to put one on it.

Love love love my D50, but I can't take it everywhere.

I just got a Panasonic TZ5 to keep in my pocket all the time.
And for $158 shipped, I am a happy camper. 3" view, with a 28-280 leica lens.
It's a pretty nice little camera.
It does not come close to the Nikon, but it does a pretty good job of capturing the moment.
