Hi,

Thought I would ask for some recommendations for a good place to stop for breakfast outside the world for when we go to Sea World. :thumbsup2

We have plenty of dining favorites for our Disney days but haven't ever really eaten outside of the parks.

Can anyone recommend a good place to stop for breakfast? popcorn::

There will be 9 of us (4 adults and 5 children - ages 14, 12, 11, 10 and 7).

Many Thanks

Lynn

There's a Village Inn on Wedtwood Blvd right near SW which might be good for a party with kids, lots of options and it's pretty cheap!

Round the corner on International Drive there are a ton of places - buffets like Ponderosa, Sizzler etc. or diners like Denny's, Perkin's and also Friendly's which people with kids seem to love (http://www.friendlys.com/menu/breakfast/)

Hi Kath,

Thanks for the recommendations and for posting the links. Both look like they have breakfast options that will appeal to us. We are particularly fond of the pancakes and waffles. I try and make pancakes at home for birthday breakfasts etc but whilst they are nice they really are not a patch on the real thing and I haven't managed to make a Mickey waffle yet :rotfl2:

No worries; I'm thinking about making American pancakes on Tuesday instead of the "traditional" type, any tips??!

Has to be Denny's for us. There is one just around the corner from SeaWorld.

We just love the Grand Slam brekkies - pancakes, sausages, eggs and bacon. Can't go wrong!

The coffee shop right at the front of Sea World, which I want to say is called Cypress house but that's from my memory which may well be flawed, sells absolutely delicious and huge chocolate dipped croissants.

So now I pressed option 1 and spoke to a person who gave me a 3 letter 5 digit code which has worked. Yeah! But website is telling me there are no MK restaurants available on August 10th! That cannot be right..... Even more irritated now.

I was going to recommmend Village Inn or Friendlys but see that Kath beat me to it so I'll just second both recommenations. We like Friendlys for lunch/dinner also - it is a must do for us each trip.

Hi Kath,

I always buy some buttermilk from the supermarket (£0.51p) and then google "American buttermilk pancake recipe". Can't specifically remember which one I use but I have been making them for years now and they always turn out pretty good. Make sure you also get the obligatory maple syrup! You can chuck some chocolate chips in if you are making them for children. We tend to have some fresh strawberries with ours but that is just personal preference :thumbsup2

Enjoy! :woohoo:

Thank you :thumbsup2. If you were to pick one over the other for breakfast which would you say is better? What would you recommend off the menu?

Many thanks popcorn::

Many thanks - will check out their menu. We are not fans of eggs but both my DH and DS's love sausages and bacon. My DD and I prefer the pancakes :rotfl:

The food at both Village Inn and Friendly's is pretty similar in standards. I would probably choose Friendlys for service, although Village Inn might be a slightly better location if you are travelling from WDW to Sea World.

As far as recommendations, I always like the french toast option :thumbsup2

I was coming along to say Village Inn aswell.

It is really near seaworld on westwood blvd.

There are some pics of breakfast in my October dining on a budget thread - link in my signature. (and dinner in my May all new budget one - can you tell we like the village inn :thumbsup2)

They take the kids eat free card aswell.
